摘要: A system for running applications such as may be used over the internet separates the logical workflow processes of the application from views presented to a user. Separate process flow modules are used to provide state code for executing transactional applications. Logical views are designated by these modules in response to user input. Actual views presented to a user are derived from these logical views according to the status of the user and the communication channel over which the transaction is being performed. Process flow modules can be reused with different sets of user interface views to provide a variety of user interfaces without significant recoding.

摘要: An apparatus for a continuous encapsulation process is provided. The apparatus is a vibrating tubing used alone, in series, or in combination with an encapsulation apparatus, which is used alone or in series. The vibrating tubing is a flat coil, a standing spiral, or a flume. The encapsulation apparatus includes a winding having coils disposed in an aqueous gelling solution. The winding is rotatable about its longitudinal center axis. The winding has adjacently spaced coils forming a plurality of chambers. Objects to be encapsulated are added to the apparatus such that when the winding is rotated, the chambers transport a volume of objects through the length winding in the aqueous gelling solution in a predetermined time.

摘要: A method of determining the lift generated by a lift-generating member is presented. The lift-generating member being coupled to a component within the lift load path with the lift load path component experiencing strain as a result of the lift generated by the lift-generating member. The method involves the steps of coupling at least one strain measurement means to the lift load path component, obtaining strain measurements from the strain measurement means, and calculating the lift generated by the lift-generating member from strain measurements.

摘要: Systems and methods for identifying musical sounds are provided. In one implementation, a method includes receiving a collection of sound identifiers. Each sound identifier in the collection identifies a sound. Each sound identifier is associated with a corresponding audio representation. The collection of sound identifiers is used to construct a hierarchy of sound identifiers where each sound identifier appears only once in the hierarchy of sound identifiers. The hierarchy of sound identifiers is arranged according to a musical similarity between the sounds identified by the collection of sound identifiers. A selection of a first sound identifier is received. The first audio representation corresponding to the first sound identified by the first sound identifier is unavailable. The second sound identifier identifies a second sound that is musically similar to the first sound identified by the first sound identifier. An available second audio representation corresponding to a second sound identifier is provided.

摘要: Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer program products for dynamic mapping of logical unit (LUN) storage extents in a redundant array of inexpensive disks (RAID) environment. According to one method, a data storage extent pool representing at least a portion of a RAID array and including at least one data storage extent is provisioned. A first mapped logic unit (MLU) for allocating data storage extents from the data storage extent pool is created. A first data storage extent is allocated, using the first MLU, in response to a data write operation.

摘要: Method and system for providing current transient control for N electrical devices, numbered (N≧2), where each device has an associated current transient I(n) upon power-up or power-down. Q subsets (preferably mutually exclusive) of devices are provided, where the sum of current transients (in-rush, etc.) for all devices in subset number q (q=1, . . . , Q; Q≧2) is no greater than a selected current value, such as (i) a maximum current that can be supplied by a current source or the maximum current that can be passed through a front end component associated with at least one device without injuring the device and (ii) a maximum current that can be supplied by a current source for power-up. A device may be redundantly assigned to more than one subset, to improve reliability. A time delay is implemented between power-up (or powerown) of any two distinct device subsets. Within an activated subset, a time delay is optionally implemented between any two distinct devices in the subset. Two or more subsets of devices can be activated separately and sequentially through receipt of an activation signal having a distinct value for each subset.
