摘要: Embodiments of methods are provided for transferring a user identity from one wireless communication device to another in a wireless communication system having a network system controller. A first device sends a deactivation request to the network controller, which includes information identifying the first device and a second device. The second device sends an activation request to the network system controller, which includes the information identifying the second device. The first device also sends repertoire information to the second device via the network system controller. The repertoire information is associated with the first device, and is selected from a group consisting of personal phone books, stored messages, stored recent call logs, and calendar information.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for managing the display of content on an electronic rollable device (600). According to certain aspects, the systems and methods facilitate communications and applications of a rollable device with a display screen interface. The device detects an interaction with the display screen interface by a user (605), such as the user grasping the device. From the interaction, the device identifies a position of the user's hand and, based on the position, a set of configuration settings, and/or other variables, determines a display region on the touchscreen to display a graphic (635) associated with the communications and applications. The device displays the graphic within the display region and receives and processes input from the user.

摘要: A method and apparatus for obtaining overhead information by a mobile is provided herein. During operation, the mobile will be communicating with a first system on an active data channel. The mobile node will be able to measure pilot PN phase and amplitude for a second system that is a potential candidate to handoff and will have that information available. The data channel of the active service is used to query a proxy server that provides overhead information for the second base station. More particularly, when PN phase and amplitude information is provided to the proxy server, the proxy server will identify the base station and provide the overhead information needed to associate with the second base station.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for managing the display of content on a display screen (110) of an electronic device (100). According to certain aspects, a sensor (119) or a set of a plurality of sensors (225) generate image data corresponding to a user viewing the device. Further, in one embodiment, a film (111) generates electrical signals corresponding to a shape or configuration of the display screen. The electronic device can calculate a distortion parameter based on the electrical signals. In another embodiment, an additional set of the plurality of sensors generates image data, from which the electronic device can calculate the distortion parameter. The electronic device generates processed image data based on the viewing position and the distortion parameter, and displays the processed image data on the display screen in such a way that the content appears oriented and proportioned to the user viewing the display screen.

摘要: An apparatus includes a video encoder, a camera and radio frequency modulation circuitry. The radio frequency modulation circuitry is operative to modulate a radar signal to include video data. A radar transmitter is operatively coupled to the radio frequency modulation circuitry, and is operative to transmit a radar signal including the video data. The apparatus may also include radio frequency demodulation circuitry and a video decoder. The video decoder is operative to decode video data contained in a radar signal demodulated by the radio frequency demodulation circuitry. An inter-vehicle alert system controls the camera to initiate capturing video data which includes the video data. A method of operation modulates a radar signal to include at least a portion of the video data captured in response to detecting an obstruction, and transmits the radar signal to a second vehicle via an antenna array oriented at the moving vehicle's rear.

摘要: A communication device performs a method for coordinating communications between a plurality of communication devices of a user. The method includes detecting an active communication session on a primary communication device having user engagement, and determining a set of secondary communication devices in proximity to the user. The method further includes detecting an interruption event, at the primary communication device, during the active communication session. Additionally, the method includes determining that a first secondary communication device, in the set of secondary communication devices, has capability to process the interruption event, and transferring the interruption event to the first secondary communication device.

摘要: A communication device (100) and method (700) are disclosed for providing temporary communication features, temporary scheduling features, or combinations thereof associated with temporary membership in a private network (101), such as that associated with a hotel (102), resort (103), or cruise ship (105). An association module (209) can register (701) the communication device (100) with the private network (101) as a temporary member device. A private network information retriever (210) can then retrieve (702) one or both of private network directory information (109) and private network scheduling information (110). An integrator (211) can then integrate this information into an address book application (212) or a calendaring application (215) to provide additional functionality for the communication device (100).

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for managing an illumination of a flexible display (110) of an electronic device (100). According to certain aspects, the systems and methods initiate an illumination mode whereby the flexible display (110) illuminates with various display elements when the display either makes up an inner or outer surface. The rollable device (100) detects any overlap regions (204) as well as any areas associated with tactile interactions by a user of the device. Further, the rollable device (100) can obscure an illumination within the overlap regions (204) and the tactile interaction areas. In some aspects, the user can select to optically steer the illumination via touch sensors (130) located on a side opposite from the flexible display (110).
