摘要: A viewer of a digital television trying to freeze the video at a particular frame. Generally the human delay and the delay introduced by the remote control device and the control software executing on the television results in the frame that is displayed by the freeze event is some number of frames or seconds after the frame that the viewer wanted frozen. A small amount of memory that constantly buffers several seconds of digital video such that once the viewer initiates the freeze event the frame that is displayed is effectively some seconds in the past. The viewer then has the ability to single frame step to the frame that he actually was interested in viewing. The viewer's actions are refined by a rules based algorithm that allows it to more closely target and display what it believes will be the final frame the viewer wanted to be displayed.

摘要: A carpet assembly for a motor vehicle is provided. The carpet assembly includes a carpet fitted to cover the floor pan of the motor vehicle. A plastic ventilation duct is disposed below the carpet and extends from the heating and air conditioning system in the instrument panel to beneath the front row of seats. A hard foam blocked footrest is also disposed below said carpet. Polyurethane foam is provided below the carpet not only to provide cushion for the carpet but also to attach the ventilation duct and footrest to the carpet, thereby providing a unitary carpet assembly. The foam is formed substantially about the ventilation duct to reduce the heat transfer between the conditioned air and the surroundings.

摘要: The present invention may be regarded as personal video recorder and a method of selecting a pay per view program to be transmitted to a personal video recorder having a program receiver. A schedule of pay per view programs is obtained. Each of the pay per view programs has a title and at least one transmission time and an associated transmission channel for each transmission time. A title list comprising the titles of at least one pay per view program is generated based on the schedule. The title list is provided to a display device for display to a user. A selection by title of the pay per view program to be received by the program receiver is received from the user. A potential transmission time of the pay per view program to be received by the program receiver is determined based on the at least one transmission time. Alternatively, selection of the pay per view program to be received by the program receiver may be based on user's preferences or a pre-selected list of titles.

摘要: A reinforced cover for a vehicle spare tire storage system. A cover for vehicle spare tire storage system is reinforced through a reinforcing structure including a plurality of radial reinforcing members. The members are formed from a blow molded dual layer cover by pressing together the two layers at certain points to form a series of "tack-offs" or cleats which in turn create channels. A peripheral flange extends perpendicular to the cover around the perimeter of the cover for engagement with the floor of the vehicle. In the preferred embodiment, the reinforcing structure further includes a plurality of arcuate reinforcing members.

摘要: A method and apparatus for stimulating the right or left vagus nerve with continuous and/or phasic electrical pulses, the latter in a specific relationship with the R-wave of the patient's electrogram. The automatic detection of the need for vagal stimulation is responsive to increases in the heart rate greater than a predetermined threshold, the occurrence of frequent or complex ventricular arrhythmias, and/or a change in the ST segment elevation greater than a predetermined or programmed threshold. The system is described with a microprocessor driven, brady therapy device with programming and telemetry capabilities for recording in memory the aforementioned stimulation triggering indicia, including electrogram segments for periods of time preceding and following each instance of vagal stimulation for telemetry out on command.

摘要: The invention generally concerns methods and compositions for screening individuals for predicting increased sudden death risk in a population of subjects having long QT syndrome (LQTS) or subjects at risk for sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) by examining single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the NOS1AP gene. In particular, the minor alleles for both rs16847548 and rs4657139 predicted an increased risk for sudden death in LQTS, while subjects carrying the GG or TG genotype (G is the minor allele) for rs10494366 were at increased risk of sudden death from SIDS. This information permits more attentive monitoring and/or prophylactic treatments of high risk individuals.
