摘要: A method and apparatus for providing a configurable field of view in a non-invasive imaging system, such as a CT medical imaging system. A detector structure comprising two or more flat-panel X-ray detectors is provided such that the configurable field of view may encompass the full area of the two or more X-ray detectors or any suitable subset of the full area. The field of view may be configured based upon an acceptable field of view in conjunction with an acceptable scan speed.

摘要: A system and method for ascertaining the identity of an object within an enclosed article. The system includes an acquisition subsystem utilizing a stationary radiation source and detector, a reconstruction subsystem, a computer-aided detection (CAD) subsystem, and a 2D/3D visualization subsystem. The detector may be an energy discriminating detector. The acquisition subsystem communicates view data to the reconstruction subsystem, which reconstructs it into image data and communicates it to the CAD subsystem. The CAD subsystem analyzes the image data to ascertain whether it contains any area of interest. Any such area of interest data is sent to the reconstruction subsystem for further reconstruction, using more rigorous algorithms and further analyzed by the CAD subsystem. Other information, such as risk variables or trace chemical detection information may be communicated to the CAD subsystem to be included in its analysis.

摘要: Geometries and configurations are provided for CT systems in which rotational loading is reduced, permitting higher speeds and lighter structures to be implemented in the systems. In certain embodiments a distributed and addressable rotating radiation source is provided with a rotating detector. In other embodiments a distributed and addressable stationary radiation source is provided with a rotating detector. In yet other embodiments a distributed and addressable radiation source is provided that rotates with respect to a stationary detector. The sources may be ring-like, arcuate and/or lines extending at least in the Z-direction. Sources may include a large number of distributed emitters arranged in lines, arcs and one- or two-dimensional arrays.

摘要: Various configurations for scatter reduction and control are provided for CT imaging. These configurations include an imaging system having a stationary detector extending generally around a portion of an imaging volume and a distributed X-ray source placed proximal to the stationary detector for radiating an X-ray beam toward the stationary detector. A scatter control system is further provided that is configured to adaptively operate in cooperation with the stationary detector and the distributed X-ray source to focally align collimator septa contained therein to the X-ray beam at a given focal point and to provide X-ray beam scatter control.

摘要: Configurations for stationary imaging systems are provided. The configurations may include combinations of various types of distributed sources of X-ray radiation, which generally include addressable emitter elements which may be triggered for emission in desired sequences and combinations. The sources may be ring-like, partial ring-like, or line-like (typically along a Z-axis), and so forth. Combinations of these are envisaged. Corresponding detectors may also be full ring detectors or partial ring detectors associated with the sources to provide sufficient coverage of imaging volumes and to provide the desired mathematical completeness of the collected data.

摘要: There is disclosed a two wire touch operated dimmer controlled by a membrane potentiometer. Adjusting the DC potential on the membrane potentiometer changes the output potential to a load. In many prior art touch operated dimmers controlled by membrane potentiometers, there is no isolation between the line power and the DC voltage on the membrane potentiometer. Thus, if the membrane is damaged, a user will be exposed to a ground current and possible shock when the membrane is touched. This invention avoids the above noted unsafe condition by employing a high frequency generator and a ground fault current limiting circuit which includes resistors.

摘要: A method of interpreting electronic documents, e.g., an interactive technical manual, provides an interpreter responsive to at least one global navigational input data of a client user in order to generate a displayable output. The displayable output is generated from informational input and a contextual status. The method of interpretation includes a base semantics module and any number of extended semantics modules, a symbol table, and an output module. A plurality of global navigational data are received at the interpreter, which associates and processes the informational data received with the contextual status and outputs displayable data which is renderable by the display system into a current view. A system and computer medium are also disclosed.
