摘要: A method for determining a parameter of a process associated with a 3D printing process provided. A first amount corresponding to an object of fused powder surrounded by non-fused powder is used. The first amount is separated into a second amount of non-fused powder and a third amount corresponding to the object including residual powder material attached. The residual powder material is removed from the object using a fourth amount of a cleaning agent. A fifth amount corresponding to the fused powder of the cleaned object and a sixth amount of material corresponding to a mixture of the removed residual powder material and the cleaning agent is obtained. The mixture includes a seventh amount of material being recovered, an eighth amount of material corresponding to powder material wastage, and the fourth amount. The parameter is derived from at least two of first to eighth amounts of material.

The build material profile data for a given build material defines one or more parameter values that are dependent on the properties of the given build material and that are configured to generate a three-dimensional object with predefined build properties. Certain examples are arranged to generate control data for the production of a three-dimensional object by applying build material profile data to received object data (230).

摘要: An example method includes acquiring a model of an object to be generated in three-dimensional object generation which is segmented into a plurality of object model sub-volumes, each sub-volume representing a region of the object which is individually addressable in object generation. Object model sub-volumes within a first depth of an object model surface are defined at a first resolution and object model sub-volumes beyond the first depth are defined at a second resolution, and the first resolution is a higher resolution than the second resolution. An object generation model is applied to the object model to determine at least one predicted dimensional deviation of the object in object generation. A geometric adjustment to the segmented object model may be determined to compensate for the predicted dimensional deviation by adding and/or removing at least one object model sub-volume defined at the first resolution.

摘要: In an example, a method includes measuring the temperature of a fused region and the temperature of an unfused region of a first layer of build material; determining a preheating setting for a subsequent layer of build material in response to the measured temperature of the unfused region of the first layer; determining a print instruction for applying print agent to the subsequent layer of build material, wherein the application of print agent prescribed by the print instruction for the subsequent layer to cause the temperature of the preheated build material to be a predetermined temperature prior to fusion in response to the measured temperature of the fused region of the first layer; forming the subsequent layer of build material; preheating the subsequent layer of build material in accordance with the preheating setting; and selectively applying the print agent onto the subsequent layer based on the print instruction.

摘要: In some examples, an agent distributor may be to selectively deliver agent through nozzles of the agent distributor to portions of layers of build material in patterns derived from agent delivery control data representing slices of a three-dimensional object such that the portions are to solidify to form the slices in accordance with the patterns. While generating the three-dimensional object, the agent distributor may be primed such that a particle of the build material is removed from the agent distributor through at least one of the nozzles.
