    摘要: A control system for controlling resource entitlement for a resource compartment in a resource-on-demand system includes nested loops. An inner loop includes an adaptive feedback control system including an adaptive controller operable to automatically determining a gain for the control system. The gain varies depending on a demand of the resource compartment in a previous interval, and the adaptive controller is operable to determine a resource entitlement for the resource compartment for a current interval based on the gain and a target utilization for the current interval. An outer loop includes a feedback control system operable to automatically determine the target utilization for the current interval, wherein the target utilization varies based on at least one QoS metric measured for the previous interval and a QoS metric target.
