摘要: A method for making a mono-dispersed metal titanate includes the steps of: (a) mixing titanate ester, metal salt, and rare earth metal salt in a molar ratio of 1:1:x in a reaction medium comprised of ethanol and water to form a solution, wherein x is in the range from 0 to 0.1; (b) heating the solution, under an alkaline condition to form a white sediment; (c) filtering out liquid part of the solution to obtain the white sediment, (d) washing the white sediment, and (e) drying the white sediment to obtain mono-dispersed metal titanate.

摘要: The present teaching relates to collecting and processing location-specific wireless waveforms for use in wireless communication, components, methods, apparatuses, servers, and systems. In one embodiment, a disclosed system comprises a first wireless transceiver of a first device, and at least one second wireless transceiver of at least one second device. The first wireless transceiver of the first device is wirelessly coupled to the at least one second wireless transceiver through a wireless multipath channel associated with a space. The first device with the first wireless transceiver comprises a processor and a memory, which are configured to obtain a set of channel information (CI) and perform a task associated with the space based on the set of channel information. The set of channel information is captured when at least one probing signal is either (1) sent from the first wireless transceiver to a particular second wireless transceiver through the wireless multipath channel associated with the space, or (2) sent from the particular second wireless transceiver to the first wireless transceiver through the wireless multipath channel. The set of CI comprises a channel impulse response, a channel frequency response, a channel profile, and/or another channel data of the wireless multipath channel.

摘要: A binaural cochlear implant system (system) includes first and second microphones associated with first and second ears of a patient, respectively. The microphones detect an audio signal presented to the patient and output first and second signals representative of the audio signal as detected at the first and second ears, respectively. The system also includes a first sound processor that receives the first signal from the first microphone and the second signal from a second sound processor by way of a communiation link with the second sound processors. The first sound processor generates first and second fine structure signals representative of fine structure information of the first and second fine structure signals, respectively, and generates a timing pulse signal based on the first and second fine structure signals. The first sound processor uses the timing pulse signal to represent to the patient an interaural time difference between the first and second signals.

摘要: A cutting element assembly includes a sleeve, a lining extending a distance axially from an end of the sleeve, and an inner cutter. The inner cutter has a cutting end, wherein the cutting end extends a depth from a cutting face, a side surface, and a body, wherein the body is at least partially disposed within the sleeve, and wherein the side surface of the cutting end interfaces with an interfacing surface of the lining.

摘要: A method for improving wear control in an engine or other mechanical component lubricated with a lubricating oil by using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil. The formulated oil has a composition that includes a lubricating oil base stock as a major component; and at least one phosphazene represented by the formula as a minor component. In the above formula, Q is nitrogen, sulfur or oxygen; a is a value from about 2 to about 6, c is a value from about 2 to about 6, e is a value from about 2 to about 6, g is a value from about 2 to about 6, i is a value from about 2 to about 6, and k is a value from about 2 to about 6; b is a value of 2a+q, d is a value of 2c+r, f is a value of 2e+s, h is a value of 2g+t, j is a value of 2i+u, and l is a value of 2k+v; q, r, s, t, u and v are independently a value of 0 or −2; with the proviso that not all of a, c, e, g, i and k are the same value. A lubricating oil having a composition that includes a lubricating oil base stock as a major component; and at least one phosphazene represented by the above formula as a minor component. The lubricating oil is useful in internal combustion engines.
