    摘要: The invention refers to an auto-injector for delivering a liquid medicament, comprising: an elongate housing arranged to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle and a stopper, wherein the syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing, spring means capable of, upon activation: pushing the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position for insertion into the injection site, operating the syringe to inject the dose of medicament, and advancing a needle shroud over the needle for providing needle safety, activating means arranged to lock and release the spring means, wherein the spring means is a single drive spring in the shape of a compression spring grounded distally in the housing and proximally bearing against a thrust collar arranged to transmit load from the spring means via a plunger to the syringe and/or the stopper for needle insertion and injection, wherein the plunger is engageable to the thrust collar for joint axial translation, wherein the plunger is disengageable from the thrust collar on relative rotation so as to allow the thrust collar to be advanced further by the drive spring in order to engage the needle shroud for advancing it over the needle.

    摘要: The invention refers to a shuttering mechanism for controlling translation of a longitudinally moveable component within an elongate housing, the shuttering mechanism comprising at least one set of castellations on the housing and at least one resilient arm associated with the longitudinally moveable component, the resilient arm having a dog resiliently biased towards the castellations so as to engage between or behind the castellations and block the translation, wherein a respective shutter arm is arranged alongside the set of castellations, the shutter arm having a number of consecutive ramped protrusions spaced from each other, wherein the castellations and the ramped protrusions have the same pitch, wherein a profiled surface is formed by the castellations and the ramped protrusions, wherein the shutter arm is moveable in longitudinal direction with respect to the set of castellations, wherein the shutter arm has at least one locking position with its ramped protrusions essentially in phase with the castellations thus allowing the dog of the resilient arm to catch between or behind the castellations and wherein the shutter arm has at least one unlocking position with its ramped protrusions out of phase with the castellations in such a manner that the ramped protrusions prevent the dog from engaging with the castellations or disengage them thus allowing translation of the longitudinally moveable component.

    摘要: According to the invention, a back-end device of an auto-injector adapted to be attached to a packaged syringe comprises a plunger arranged to abut against a stopper of the packaged syringe to translate an injection needle of the packaged syringe in a proximal direction and to expel a dose of a medicament contained in the packaged syringe through the injection needle, a drive means capable of, upon release, driving the plunger in the proximal direction towards a proximal position, a rotary sleeve with a cam surface adapted to be engaged by a plunger follower formed to the plunger, a torsion spring arranged to exert a torque upon the rotary sleeve and a release element capable of, upon manual actuation, releasing the engagement of the plunger follower with the cam surface. The plunger follower is arranged to engage the cam surface to prevent the rotary sleeve from rotating with respect to the chassis in an initial state. Furthermore, in the initial state the plunger follower is arranged to engage the cam surface to prevent an axial translation of the plunger in the proximal direction. Upon release of the engagement of the plunger follower with the cam surface, the rotary sleeve is arranged to rotate within the chassis. The cam surface re-engages the plunger follower after a time delay determined by a rotation speed of the rotary sleeve. The time delay is set so as to allow the cam surface to re-engage the plunger follower after the plunger reaches the proximal position. The cam surface is arranged to withdraw the plunger from the proximal position in a distal direction by continued rotation of the rotary sleeve.

    摘要: An injection device includes a syringe with a hollow needle and a stopper for sealing the syringe and displacing a medicament stored in the syringe. An arrangement for transferring a translation of a drive means to a plunger for pushing against the stopper includes a release latch pivoted at one end and connected to either the drive means or the plunger. The other end of the release latch engages the other one of the drive means or the plunger. The non-pivoted end of the release latch disengages by rotation upon contact between a ramp and another component when the stopper has displaced most of a predefined medicament dose. The release latch is long enough to provide a clearance between the plunger and the drive means when engaged to allow the plunger, stopper and needle to be retracted inside the syringe or a housing after disengaging the release latch.

    摘要: An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) is presented having an elongate housing arranged to contain a syringe, a proximal end (P) with an orifice, wherein the syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing. A drive spring upon activation pushes the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position through the orifice and past the proximal end (P), and operates the syringe to supply the dose of medicament (M). An activating means locks the drive spring in a compressed state. The housing distal and a proximal portions are connected by a hinge, and are rotatable about the hinge between an aligned position and a maximum opening angle. A loading bay for holding the syringe is arranged in the proximal portion.
