A phase control signal generating circuit 6A detects a specific pattern from a reproduced digital signal issued from an A/D converter 7, and the advance or delay amount of phase of the reproduced clock is detected by the amplitude or distribution of the sampling value. This phase deviation amount is given to the phase adjusting circuit 5 as a phase control signal. The phase adjusting circuit 5 given a delayed clock to the A/D converter 7, and controls to A/D convert the reproduced signal at correct timing.

摘要： A digital signal recording and reproducing apparatus has the following components: a digital information decoding circuit for outputting (a) a received digital information signal by selecting a channel, and (b) a first analog signal by selecting and decoding either one of a selected digital information signal, and a reproduced digital information signal of a recording medium; a recording and reproducing unit for outputting a reproduced digital signal, comprising (a) a digital signal recording unit for inputting the digital information signal of the channel selected and output by the digital information decoding circuit, and for recording on the recording medium, (b) a digital signal reproduction unit for reproducing the digital signal recorded on the recording medium, and (c) a first recording and reproduction unit for recording and reproducing an externally input analog video/audio signal on the recording medium as a second analog signal; a bus line for transmitting (a) the digital information signal of the channel selected and output by the digital information decoding circuit to the recording and reproducing unit, and (b) a digital information signal output by the recording and reproducing unit to the digital information decoding circuit; and an analog information selecting circuit for selecting and outputting either one of (a) the first analog signal decoded by the digital information decoding circuit, and (b) the second analog signal reproduced by the recording and reproducing unit.

摘要： The conventional method of limiting the number of receiving apparatus has a problem that if the limited number of appliances is reduced to limit distribution to unspecified appliances outside a home, distribution to appliances in the home is limited unnecessarily. If the limited number of appliances is increased, distribution to appliances outside the home cannot be sufficiently limited. The invention provides at least one receiving apparatus, (e.g., digital television sets and PCs,) connected to a network and capable of receiving and using predetermined data, and a transmitting apparatus, (e.g., an AV server) for transmitting the data to the receiving apparatus via the network. Use of the data on the network is managed based on the transmission time required for transmission of predetermined information between the transmitting apparatus and the receiving apparatus.

摘要： To provide a packet transmitter apparatus which can transmit contents protected by a content protection technique such as DTCP or the like, using packets such as IP packets which have become widespread. The packet transmitter apparatus includes a transmitting condition setting management unit (404) which extracts at least one of charge information, playback control information and copy control information of AV data from the inputted non-AV data or AV data and generates, based on the extracted information, encryption mode information indicating an encryption mode which becomes a condition at the time of transmitting the AV data; an encrypted data generation unit (406) which generates encrypted data by encrypting, based on the transmitting condition, the inputted AV data and adding encryption information headers based on the encryption mode information to the encrypted AV data; and a packet generation unit (403) which generates packets by adding packet headers to the generated encrypted data. The transmitting condition is to be determined as a combination of input terminal information, data format information and attribute information.
