摘要: A machine-type communications (MTC) device may attempt a network attach operation corresponding to a wireless network, and receive quality of service information, from the wireless network, in response to the network attach operation failing. The MTC device may determine a back-off time based on the quality of service information received from the wireless network. The back-off time may include a duration of time before re-attempting the network attach operation. The MTC device may re-attempt the network attach operation in response to detecting an expiration of the back-off time.

摘要: Efficient delivery of subscription content over a wireless network is described herein. In one implementation a device may receive load information regarding network traffic load at radio interfaces for a cellular network. The device may maintain subscription information relating to subscribers that have subscribed to receive content items and to availability of the content items. The device may determine whether a quantity of mobile devices, that are attached to the base station and are associated with subscribers that have subscribed to the first content item, is above a threshold. Finally, the device may transmit, when it is determined that the quantity of mobile devices is above the threshold, the first content item to the quantity of mobile devices as a multicast transmission over a radio interface associated with the base station.

摘要: A device receives, from mobile devices, scheduling requests for voice packets, and assigns grants to the scheduling requests. The device further determines whether there is network congestion in a network associated with the device. The device also selects a grant, from the grants, when there is network congestion, and drops a voice packets associated with the selected grant. The device assigns physical resource blocks (PRBs) to one or more of the grants that are associated with one or more of the voice packets that are not dropped.

摘要: A device, provided at a network edge, receives a radio frequency signal from a user equipment, and converts the radio frequency signal into an electrical signal. The device also receives, from a network controller, at least one of control information, schedule information, or congestion management information. The device performs baseband signal processing on the electrical signal, based on at least one of the control information, the schedule information, or the congestion management information, to create a modified signal. The device provides the modified signal to the network controller.

摘要: A device identifies mobile devices within a geographical area associated with a carrier network. The device further divides the geographical area into cells. The device also collects network statistics associated with the mobile devices. The device assigns values to the cells based on the network statistics, and identifies locations in which to place the small cells within the geographical area based on the values.

摘要: A device classifies access or control channel signals into a first class or a second class, initializes a dormancy timer associated with the device, and sets the dormancy timer to a default value. The device also sets a signal target utilization threshold, receives actual signals via the access or control channel, and identifies, when a number of the actual signals exceeds the signal target utilization threshold, a particular signal, from the actual signals, as belonging to the first class or the second class. The device further increases the default value of the dormancy timer when the particular signal belongs to the first class, and decreases the default value of the dormancy timer when the particular signal belongs to the second class.

摘要: Different access networks may perform signaling and data delivery (bearer connection) for communication services. A device may determine, in response to a request for a service from a user of the device, whether the device is connected to a non-cellular access network. The device may transmit, when it is determined that the device is connected to the non-cellular access network, one or more control messages, relating to establishment of the service, using the non-cellular access network. The device may transmit, when it is determined that the device is not connected to the non-cellular access network, the one or more control messages, using a cellular access network. The device may establish, with a party with which the service is to connect, a bearer connection for the service over the cellular access network.

摘要: A system is configured to receive, from a user device, voice traffic to be sent to another user device; determine whether the voice traffic is local traffic based on whether an eNodeB, associated with the user device, and another eNodeB, associated with the other user device, are served by a particular network device; forward the voice traffic, as non-local traffic, to another network device, associated with a packet data network, for processing when the eNodeB or the other eNodeB are not served by the particular network device; process the voice traffic as local traffic when the eNodeB and the other eNodeB are served by the particular network device; and forward, to the other user device via the other eNodeB, the voice traffic, as local traffic, where the forwarding is performed in a manner that does not include routing the voice traffic via the other network device.
