    摘要: An LED lamp includes an illumination apparatus and a heat-dissipating waterproof cover. The illumination apparatus includes LED modules; and the heat-dissipating waterproof cover is configured to cover the LED modules. The heat-dissipating waterproof cover includes a plurality of drain members, and a gap is formed between every two drain members so as to increase the air convection, thereby increasing heat dissipation efficiency of the LED modules. Every two adjacent drain members are partially overlapping in vertical to prevent the intrusion of water.

    摘要: A method of wear leveling for a non-volatile memory is disclosed. A non-volatile memory is divided into windows and gaps, with each gap between two adjacent windows. The windows comprise physical blocks mapped to logical addresses, and the gaps comprise physical blocks not mapped to logical addresses. The windows are shifted through the non-volatile memory in which the mapping to the physical blocks in the window to be shifted is changed to the physical blocks in the gap.

    摘要: A laser Doppler velocimeter is formed using a fiber laser as the lasing medium. Within the velocimeter, all optical signals, transmitted and received, are conveyed by optical fibers. An amplifier amplifies a source laser, which is then transmitted to one or more transceivers. The one or more transceivers, each projecting along a different axis, and each with a single optical fiber input/output interface act as both the transmission device to focus the radiation at a target region, and as the receiving system for collecting reflected radiation. The transceivers each include an amplifier to further amplify the radiation received from the laser source. The one or more transceivers transmit radiation simultaneously to the target region, and may be located remotely from the laser source. The portion of the reflected radiation collected by the receiving system is analyzed to determine the Doppler shift caused by targets at the focal point of the one or more transceivers.

    摘要: A bandwidth tunable fiber Bragg grating (FBG) device performs tuning in an optical transmission circuit by placing a grating in a compliant material, which is transversely loaded to create longitudinal strain through the Poisson effect of materials. Careful application of various load magnitudes along the length of the grating through the compliant material creates a strain gradient along the length of the grating, which chirps the grating thus resulting in altering the bandwidth of the grating. Tuning the grating bandwidth results, effectively, in tuning the dispersion of light being reflected off the grating. Insertion of such a device in the optical link allows for dynamic dispersion compensation in the link. The ability of the device to ‘dial-in’ a desired amount of dispersion is what makes it valuable.
