    摘要: An apparatus and system of providing energy saving in a network are described. A target node receives, from a source node, a handover request to handover a UE due to at least one of entry of the source node into a power saving state or mobility optimization. In response, the target node transmits a relative energy efficiency value of Bits per Joule and periodic feedback related to a status of the UE for training an AI/ML energy saving model and stops the feedback in response to a stop parameter being met. The stop parameter is a first of: a predicted period of the source node to stay in the power saving state or time for a UE to connect to the target node, a percentage of UEs handed over that enter an idle or inactive state, and a percentage of UEs handed over that are further handed to another node.

    摘要: Examples of reducing data transfer latency caused by state transitions in mobile networks are disclosed. A first disclosed example method comprises, while operating in a first state having fewer available radio resources than would be available in a second state, setting a traffic volume indicator if a wireless device determines that a radio link control (RLC) buffer occupancy is larger than a traffic volume measurement threshold, and sending the traffic volume indicator to a network in a transmitted message other than a CELL UPDATE message having uplink data transmission as an update cause. A second disclosed example method comprises, while operating in a first state, receiving a message that is to cause a wireless device to transition to a second state having fewer available radio resources than are available in the first state, and rejecting the message if the wireless device has pending uplink data to send to a network.

    摘要: A technique is disclosed for providing high availability (HA) capability with a plurality of storage servers, which may be virtual storage servers (VSSs), in a shared-nothing storage environment. The technique uses a proxy mechanism to route requests originating at one storage server to an HA partner storage server, where the proxy is implemented inside a VSS logically below the RAID layer. The technique also involves distributing non-shared storage devices “owned” by a storage server so that existing storage device-based heartbeat and fencing mechanisms can function unmodified for HA VSSs in shared-nothing environments. For example, a third, external host can be used to provide and export its non-shared storage to first and second storage servers, where the first and second storage servers do not own the non-shared storage on their local physical host machine.

A measurement event provides the buffer occupancy and identifies the affected radio bearer to the network. If the state of the bearer is not changed, the UE provides a Signaling Connection Release Indication message or a Radio Bearer Release Indication message to the network, the latter message identifying the radio bearer to be released without taking down the entire signaling connection for the domain.

    摘要: A technique is disclosed for non-disruptive migration of data between storage on hosts that do not share storage with each other. Aggregate relocation is enabled to operate between the hosts in the absence of shared storage connectivity. The technique includes mirroring an aggregate from storage of a first host to storage of a second host by using a sub-RAID level proxy in each of the first and second hosts to proxy data communications between the hosts. The proxy is used in lieu of the mirroring application in the first host having direct access to the storage devices of the second host. The technique further includes relocating the aggregate from the first host to the second host.
