    摘要: An automatic support pillar transfer mechanism is provided that enables an enlarged transfer range, reduced produce failure and mass-production. The touch sensors 17a to 7c are arranged on the moving section 12 to measure the plane orientation of the surface of the jig 7. The jig adjusting section 6 is driven based on the measurement results on the plane orientations of surfaces of the jig 7 to adjust the surface of the jig 7 in parallel. With plural support pillars 15 sucked and held at predetermined intervals by the jig 7 adjusted in parallel, the bonding agent coated substrate 14 attached on the moving section 12 is descended to coat the bonding agent 13 onto the one ends of the support pillars 15. The substrate 16 to which the support pillars 15 are transferred is attached to the moving section 12. Variations in plane orientation of surfaces of the substrate 16 are respectively measured by means of the touch sensors 5a to 5c. The jig adjusting section 6 is driven according to the variations in plane orientation of the surfaces of the substrate 16. With the surface of the jig 7 arranged in parallel to the surface of the substrate 16, the moving section 12 is descended to transfer the support pillars 15 onto the surface of the substrate 16.

    摘要: A vacuum envelope capable of preventing contamination of an electron source and deterioration of luminous characteristics of a phosphor layer. Electrons emitted from a tip end of emitter cones are accelerated by an anode conductor to which a positive voltage is applied with respect to a gate conductor, to thereby impinge on the phosphor layer, leading to luminescence of the layer. The luminescence is observed through a transparent anode substrate. Spacers are bonded at only one end thereof to a cathode substrate by means of seal glass, to thereby keep the seal glass from being irradiated with electrons.

    摘要: A hermetic container which can improve its stress resistance and its buckling strength and prevent deformation due to the atmospheric pressure. The space between the anode substrate and the cathode substrate in the hermetic container can be stably maintained. Anode conductors and fluorescent substance layers are formed on the inner surface of the anode substrate. Electron sources are formed on the inner surface of the cathode substrate so as to confront the corresponding display portions on the anode substrate. In order to complete a container, the anode substrate is spaced from the cathode substrate a predetermined distance apart and the fringe portions of the substrates are sealed. A supporting member is disposed in the container. The supporting member 15 consists of a plate in which plural through holes are formed at predetermined intervals and reinforcing supports which are respectively inserted into the through holes of the plate and of which the middle portions are bonded at the inlets of the through holes. Each reinforcing support has one end in contact with an inner surface of the anode substrate and the other end in contact with an inner surface of the cathode substrate. Each reinforcing support maintains the gap between the anode substrate and the cathode substrate at a fixed distance.

    摘要: A strut aligning fixture capable of improving misregistration of struts arranged between two glass plates for a vacuum glass envelope to hold the glass plates spaced from each other at a predetermined interval. An alignment plate is formed of a first alignment plate member of a small thickness and a second alignment plate member of a large thickness by lamination. The first alignment plate member is provided with strut holes, which can be formed with high accuracy because of a reduced thickness of the first alignment plate member. The alignment plate is used as a fixture for arranging the struts in the vacuum glass envelope while minimizing misregistration of the struts.

    摘要: An airtight envelope for an FED capable of ensuring formation of a gap or internal space therein with high accuracy and preventing leakage thereof and a decrease in display area. An anode substrate having a phosphor-deposited display pattern formed thereon and a cathode substrate having an electron emission source formed thereon are sealed joined to each other using a sealing material, to thereby provide an airtight envelope for an FED. The substrates are provided at a portion thereof joined together with particulate or bar-like elements which are kept unmelted or substantially unsoftened. Also, spacers are arranged at positions in a gap between the anode substrate and the cathode substrate which do not interfere with a display by the FED.

    摘要: A method for processing a single-crystal semiconductor wafer is provided which is capable of minimizing a dead space to maximize the number of elements per one wafer and preventing leakage luminescence and a reduction in luminance. A phosphor is deposited on each of a plurality of regions defined in the wafer at predetermined intervals and a water-resistant protective film is formed on the phosphor. Then, the wafer is cut for every one of the regions by means of a dicing saw using cutting water, to thereby provide a plurality of chips. The chips are subject to calcination during a calcination step in manufacture of fluorescent display device in which the chips are used as a display section, resulting in the protective film being evaporated.
