The lens refracts light beams falling onto the respective areas thereof at different angles, thereby producing a uniform light distribution within a specific lighting range, but does not create a dark area around an optical axis.

    摘要: The invention provides an LED package and a backlight device incorporating the LED lens. The LED package has a bottom surface and a light exiting surface cylindrically extended around a central axis of the package from the bottom surface. Also, a reflecting surface is positioned on an opposite side of the bottom surface and symmetrical around the central axis such that light incident from the bottom surface is reflected toward the light exiting surface. Further, a scattering area is formed on the reflecting surface. According to the invention, by applying scattering materials on the reflecting surface of the LED package, a reflecting paper does not need to be attached, thereby simplifying a process and reducing the manufacture time and cost.

    摘要: There is provided a back light unit having a light guide buffer plate. The back light unit having a light guide buffer plate includes a light source for generating the light when a power source is applied; a light guide panel whose light-receiving vertical surface that the light emitted from the light source enters is provided with a first prism pattern and whose bottom surface is provided with a refraction pattern, thereby converting the incident light from the light-receiving vertical surface into a surface light source; a reflection unit disposed in a bottom surface of the light guide panel to reflect light toward the light guide panel; and a buffer disposed between the light source and the light guide panel and whose light-emitting vertical surface corresponding to the light-receiving vertical surface of the light guide panel is provided with a second prism pattern. The back light unit can be useful to improve visibility, a mixing property and uniformity by basically removing a poor-visibility zone, which is formed in an end of the light guide panel, without any changes in the structure of the light guide panel.

    摘要: A light guide plate of an LED backlight unit is disclosed. The light guide plate comprises a pair of wide planes facing each other, and a narrow plane formed between the pair of wide planes and constituting a thickness of the light guide plate. The narrow plane has an incident plane formed on a section of the narrow plane facing the LED light source, and one of the wide planes constitutes an exiting plane from which light entered from the LED light source exits. The incident plane has a plurality of elliptic cylinder-shaped grooves carved into the incident plane in a thickness direction of the light guide plate. As such, the elliptic cylinder-shaped grooves are carved into the incident plane of the light guide plate in the thickness direction, widening an incidence angle of which light can be transmitted therethrough.
