摘要： Disclosed is an oil-in-water emulsion base which is stable even when ethanol in an amount of 50% by mass or less is blended therein and which exhibits excellent water resistance after being applied to the skin or the like. Specifically disclosed is an oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic composition which is characterized by containing (A) 0.1-10% by mass of a polyether-modified silicone having an HLB(Si) of 5-10, (B) 5-50% by mass of ethanol, (C) 0.01-3% by mass of a hydrophilic thickening agent and (D) 0.1-15% by mass of a polyol. Preferably, the oil-in-water emulsified cosmetic composition additionally contains a UV absorbent, thereby forming a sunscreen cosmetic composition.

摘要： Provided is a sunscreen cosmetic composition that effectively protects from both UVA and UVB, has moist and cool feeling on use as well as excellent stability, and is able to form a film having a good ultraviolet protection effect when applied to skin. An oil-in-water sunscreen cosmetic composition comprising: (a) an aqueous dispersion of an oil-soluble ultraviolet absorbent; (b) one or two or more of crosslinked polyether-modified silicones and crosslinked alkyl polyether-modified silicones; (c) a low-viscosity silicone oil; and (d) water. The aqueous dispersion of the oil-soluble ultraviolet absorbent is preferably an aqueous dispersion of composite particles of bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine and an organic polymer. Furthermore, methylene bisbenzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol is preferably further added.

摘要： The present invention provides new silica composite capsules that can be easily prepared, a composition containing the silica composite capsules, and a transparent gel-form composition excellent in appearance transparency and texture in use, and in particular, a transparent gel-form composition with improved cleansing properties when used as a cleanser. Micelle/silica composite capsules can easily be obtained, in an aqueous system, by mixing a material capable of forming micelles in water and a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure in aqueous solution. In addition, emulsion/silica composite capsules wherein the periphery of emulsion particles in the inner phase is coated with silica, can easily be obtained by mixing a surfactant, water, an oil, and a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure. Moreover, a transparent gel-form composition showing excellent appearance transparency, the texture in use and cleansing properties, can be obtained by blending a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure into the formulation that contains a surfactant, an oil and water, and capable of taking a surfactant association structure with aqueous continuous phase or both of aqueous continuous phase and oil continuous phase in the formulation.

摘要： The present invention provides an easily-handled hair conditioning composition with a very low water content. The hair conditioning composition of the present invention is a composition comprising: (a) 10 to 90% by mass of one or more components selected from higher alcohols, higher fatty acids, and derivatives thereof, (b) 5 to 35% by mass of a cationic surfactant, and (c) a polyhydric alcohol and/or polyethylene glycol having a melting point of 155° C. or less, characterized in that the endothermic peak of a gel which is formed from (a) and (b) in the composition is 50° C. or more as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and that the water content is 10% by mass or less.
