摘要: A method for acceleration of wireless communication in a residential gateway, the residential gateway enables communication between a plurality of subscriber devices connected in a wireless local area network (WLAN) and a passive optical network (PON). The method comprises pre-configuring a wireless controller to intercept networking functions programmed in a wireless stack of a wireless driver, wherein the wireless controller and the wireless driver are components of a kernel of an operating system executed by a host processor; monitoring system calls initiated by the wireless driver to the kernel; for each monitored system call, checking if a system call is a request for a networking function; and forwarding the system call for a network function to a packet processor.

摘要: A method for deep-packet inspection of packets flowing through an end unit in a point-to-multipoint network. The method comprises classifying packet flows through the end unit using their flow-identification (ID) to determine which of the packet flows should be deep-packet inspected, wherein the packet flows include incoming packets received from a central unit and outgoing packets sent to the central unit of the point-to-multipoint network; duplicating packets determined to be deep-packet inspected; saving all duplicated packets in a memory; upon collection of a predefined number of duplicated packets belonging to a certain flow-ID, performing deep-packet processing based on at least one deep-packet inspection application; and saving the deep-packet processing results in the memory.

摘要: Various approaches for heating a target region substantially uniformly include identifying one or more locations of one or more hot spots in the target region and/or surrounding regions of the target region during an ultrasound sonication process; computing a temporal variation to an output parameter of at least one of the transducer elements based at least in part on the identified location(s) of the hot spot(s); and operating the at least one transducer element to achieve the temporal variation of the output parameter so as to minimize the hot spot(s).

摘要: Various approaches for calibrating the geometry of an ultrasound transducer having multiple transducer elements include providing an acoustic reflector spanning an area traversing by multiple beam paths of ultrasound waves transmitted from all (or at least some) transducer elements to a focal zone; causing the transducer elements to transmit the ultrasound waves to the focal zone; measuring reflections of the ultrasound waves off the acoustic reflector; and based at least in part on the measured reflections, determining optimal geometric parameters associated with the transducer elements.

摘要: Various approaches for regulating microbubbles in a treatment procedure for a target include generating a tissue-sensitivity map including multiple regions, at least one of the regions being outside the target region, the tissue-sensitivity map assigning, to each of the regions, a sensitivity level indicative of tissue sensitivity to the interaction between the microbubbles and an acoustic beam; select one or more interaction regions based at least in part on the tissue-sensitivity map; and activating the ultrasound transducer so as to generate the acoustic beam for interacting with the microbubbles in the selection interaction region(s) in the tissue-sensitivity map, thereby indirectly changing a characteristic of the microbubbles at the target region.

摘要: A focused-ultrasound or other procedure for treating a target within a tissue region can be planned iteratively by creating a treatment plan specifying a treatment location pattern and stimuli applied thereto, simulating the treatment, computationally predicting an effect of the simulated treatment, comparing the predicted effect against one or more treatment constraints (such as efficacy and/or safety thresholds), and, if a constraint is violated, repeating the simulation for an adjusted treatment plan.
