A system can include a VLC transmitter and a VLC receiver suitable for implementing a diversity combining technique. The diversity combining technique can include equal gain combining, selective best combining, and maximal ratio combining. The VLC transmitter can be a multi-element diversity transmitter and can provide illumination as well as data transfer.

摘要: Sensors, actuators, energy sources, and data processing for enabling artificial intelligent (AI) integrated automated features of intelligent electronic shoes are provided. The intelligent footwear can gather information from the shoe and send the data to a user interface for monitoring the physical activities of the wearer. A smart thermal actuation system can control the internal temperature of the shoe to offer a comfortable experience to the user. Intelligent footwear can also have systems for multipurpose sensing and actuation modules, which can use energy harvested by the user locomotion or by an energy source accompanied by artificial intelligence to gather and process information for ensuring an enhanced user experience.

摘要: Doped glass scintillators and methods of fabricating the same are provided. Doped glass scintillators can be fabricated by a stereolithography process, and doping can be carried out before the green body composite formation so that homogeneity of the dopant is improved. The structures retain an amorphous structure through the fabrication process, and the vacuum sintering process assists with keeping the dopants in their luminescence-producing oxidation state.

摘要: Ultra-reconfigurable reflectarrays using vanadium dioxide (VO2) are provided, as well as methods of fabricating and using the same. The ultra-reconfigurable reflectarrays operate based on the unique phase-change properties of VO2, by including a heating element configured to heat desired areas of a VO2 layer/reflector, such that the VO2 reflector/layer can be reconfigured to have a desired pattern heated (and therefore changed to a conducting state) at a given time, with a good spatial resolution of the desired pattern.
