A midtap T of a series connection of two or more resistors R1, R2 is connected to an input terminal of an A/D converter and a potential voltage divided by the resistors at the midtap T is defined as the stylus pressure detecting threshold value VT. Therefore, the stylus pressure detecting threshold value VT can be adjusted simply by changing the resistance value of either one of the resistors.
