摘要： A valve timing adjusting device includes: a first rotary body which rotates in synchronization with one of a crankshaft and a camshaft and into which lubricating fluid is supplied; a second rotary body which rotates in synchronization with the other; a torque producing unit for producing control torque; and a phase change unit including a planetary gear mechanism in which a planetary gear is engaged with a sun gear in such a way as to be able to perform a planetary motion. The phase change unit changes a relative rotational phase between the first rotary body and the second rotary body by utilizing the control torque transmitted from the torque producing unit to the planetary gear mechanism and has a space at an interface where the first rotary body is brought into sliding contact with the planetary gear.

摘要： For enhancing engine startability and reducing discharge of unburned fuel from an engine, a camshaft is rotated toward the most advance side when an exhaust valve is opened. In one aspect, the camshaft is urged toward the advance side with respect to a timing pulley by the urging force of a spring. A stopper is received displaceably in a diametrical direction in a receiving hole and is fitted in a stopper hole when the camshaft is at the most advance position. In another aspect, at engine starting where operating fluid is not supplied to a release fluid chamber, a clutch piston is coupled to a front plate by a spring, and gear teeth of the front plate and the clutch piston are engaged with each other.

摘要： A machine tool in which processing can be performed on the workpiece from two directions and in which various types of machining processes other than turning can be performed on the workpiece by means of a turret on which a plurality of tools are mounted. The turret is freely indexible on a tool rest which is mounted on a horizontal guide for horizontal positioning. The horizontal guide is mounted for vertical positioning on a vertical column which is in turn mounted on a horizontal slide member the axis of which is perpendicular to the horizontal guide section supporting the tool rest. A workpiece holder is mounted for free rotation on the frame of the machine tool. The turret may thus be positioned and indexed so as to select one of a variety of processing tools such as a cutting tool, a drill, a milling cutter, or the like, and to perform the processing in either a horizontal or vertical direction.

摘要： An improvement is proposed in the method for adhesively bonding a decorative overlay film of a plastic resin to the surface of an acrylic resin board with a hot-melt adhesive, by which the overlaid acrylic resin board can be imparted with greatly improved stability of overlaying lamination as well as good machining workability of the board. The improved method comprises the steps of: (a) demoisturizing the acrylic resin board by heating at 60-90.degree. C. for at least 2 hours; (b) forming a layer of a hot-melt adhesive on at least either one of the resin board and the overlay film; (c) laminating the resin board and the overlay film with the adhesive layer therebetween to obtain a laminate by passing between a pair of laminating rollers while the surfaces to be brought into contact with each other are kept at an elevated temperature; and (d) subjecting the laminate to an aging treatment by heating at 30-60.degree. C. for at least 1 hour.

The arrangement of the jack unit and the retaining members is such that the jack opening may selectively extend parallel to the base plate or perpendicular thereto.

摘要： A valve timing control apparatus includes a linear solenoid having a coil, a casing, a needle, a pair of cylindrical stators and a cylindrical spacer. The pair of cylindrical stators oppose with each other through an air gap in an axis direction. The pair of stators and the needle form a magnetic circuit so as to drive the needle to reciprocate. The cylindrical spacer fits with an outer circumference side of the pair of stators so as to restrict a short circuit from being generated in the magnetic circuit between the pair of stators. The spacer defines a discharge passage that connects the air gap to a discharge port of the casing.
