    摘要: A novel information reproducing apparatus and information recording/reproducing apparatus capable of searching and selecting information with ease through common manipulations independent of recording media. A recording medium is employed from which start positions of recorded picture programs and start positions of scenes composing each picture program can be read out as data. Symbols corresponding to the picture programs recorded on the recording medium are displayed in an array on a single display screen. A given one of the symbols being displayed is selected, and reduced start pictures of plural scenes, respectively, which compose a picture program affixed with the selected given symbol are displayed in a partitioned array on the single display screen. A desired one of the plural start pictures of reduced size which are being displayed is selected and determined for reproducing the scene corresponding to the determined start picture fully over the single display screen.

    摘要: A picture to be reproduced and displayed on a television monitor (10) is discerned as a plurality of partitioned areas in correspondence to keys labeled “1” to “9” disposed on a remote control unit (R). After having zoomed in a picture in a partitioned center area by operating a zoom key disposed on the remote control unit, a partial picture in a partitioned area corresponding to a given one of the keys “1” to “9” is zoomed in with a desired magnification factor in response to operation of the given key. Position of the zoomed-in partial picture on a full screen and the magnification factor thereof can be visually recognized by displaying cursors correspondingly.

    摘要: The invention provides for a lithium secondary battery using a non-aqueous solvent wherein the anode material is prepared by the pyrolysis of organic compound starting materials obtained by reacting at least one conjugated polycyclic compound with a nitro compound or with a nitrating agent. The anode material contains at least the elements carbon and nitrogen, the nitrogen content ranging from 0.5% to 6% by weight. Eighty percent or more of this nitrogen is bound to carbon by either C--N or C.dbd.N bonds. The ratio of the intensity of the x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy ("XPS") peak observed for the anode material at 401.2.+-.0.2 eV to the intensity of peak observed for the anode material at 398.8.+-.0.4 eV is 1.0:1 or more.

    摘要: A carbon material for electric double layer capacitor electrodes which is obtained by a heat treatment and an activation treatment of a material pitch having a softening point in a range of 150 to 350° C., a ratio of amounts by atom of hydrogen to carbon (H/C) in a range of 0.50 to 0.90 and a content of optically anisotropic components of 50% or greater. The material pitch is preferably a synthetic pitch obtained by polymerizing a condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon such as naphthalene, methylnaphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene, acenaphthene, acenaphthylene and pyrene in the presence of an ultra-strong acid catalyst such as a hydrogen fluoride-boron trifluoride complex. Electric double layer capacitors having a high electrode density and a high electrostatic capacity per unit volume can be constructed using the carbon material.

The negative electrode includes a complex having a carbon molded article made of carbon fiber or carbon powder having an interfacial distance (d.sub.002) of 3.38 to 3.56 .ANG. as measured by X-ray diffraction analysis using silicon as standard material, wherein lithium have been absorbed into the carbon molded article beforehand. The above value of interfacial distance corresponds to 3.36 to 3.48 .ANG. as measured by X-ray diffraction analysis using no standard material.

    摘要: [Summary][Problem] Provided is a vapor phase epitaxy apparatus of a group III nitride semiconductor including: a susceptor for holding a substrate; the opposite face of the susceptor; a heater for heating the substrate; a reactor formed of a gap between the susceptor and the opposite face of the susceptor; a raw material gas-introducing portion for supplying a raw material gases from the central portion of the reactor toward the peripheral portion of the reactor; and a reacted gas-discharging portion. Even when crystal growth is conducted on the surfaces of a large number of large-aperture substrates, the vapor phase epitaxy apparatus can eject each raw material gas at an equal flow rate for any angle, and can suppress the decomposition and crystallization of the raw material gases on the opposite face of the susceptor.[Solving Means] The vapor phase epitaxy apparatus is such that: the opposite face of the susceptor has means for flowing a coolant therein; the raw material gas-introducing portion has a plurality of gas ejection orifices formed of such a constitution that the gas ejection orifices are partitioned in a vertical direction with a disk-like partition; and at least one of the gas ejection orifices has such a constitution that the gas ejection orifice is partitioned in a circumferential direction with a plurality of columnar partitions.
