Abstract:
A UV-transparent pressure sensitive adhesive comprising (a) a copolymer of (a1) from 75 to 99.8% by weight of acrylic esters and/or methacrylic esters of the formula CH2nullCH(R1)(COOR2), where R1 is H or CH3 and R2 is an alkyl chain having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; (a2) from 0 to 10% by weight of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid of the formula CH2nullCH(R1)(COOH), where R1 is H or CH3; (a3) from 0.2 to 5% by weight of olefinically unsaturated monomers which contain at least one UV-crosslinking functional group per monomer; and (a4) from 0 to 20% by weight of olefinically unsaturated monomers which contain at least one functional group per monomer; the copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of less than 300,000 g/mol and (b) from 2 to 20% by weight, based on the weight of copolymer, of a silicate filler, the silicate filler having a maximum particle diameter of 50 nm; and having a residual solvent fraction of less than 1%, based on the pressure sensitive adhesive.
Abstract:
A process for producing pressure-sensitively adhesive punched products from backing material coated with pressure sensitive adhesive, wherein said pressure sensitive adhesive is oriented such that it possesses a preferential direction and, the punching process is carried out batchwise.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), in particular an acrylic hotmelt PSA, featuring low shrinkback after extrusion coating, to a process for preparing it, and to its use for producing PSA tapes. The hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesive of the invention comprises at least one polyacrylate component and added filler comprising calcium carbonate, preferably taking the form of chalk. Said at least one polyacrylate component is based, with a mass fraction of at least 50% by weight, on at least one acrylic and/or methacrylic ester of the general formula (I) CH2nullCH(R1)(COOR2),nullnull(I) where R1nullH or CH3 and R2 is an unbranched, branched or cyclic alkyl radical having 1 to 22 carbon atoms and is substantially free from polar groups, especially carboxylic acid or hydroxyl groups.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a flame-retardant and substantially solvent-free pressure-sensitive adhesive, to a process for preparing it and to its use for pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes. The pressure-sensitive adhesive of the invention comprises (a) at least one acrylate adhesive component, (b) at least one ammonium polyphosphate component and (c) at least one resin component. Coating one or both sides of a flame-retardant-impregnated carrier tape with a pressure-sensitive adhesive produces a flame-retardant pressure-sensitive adhesive tape.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a repulpable pressure-sensitive adhesive. Provision is made for the repulpable pressure-sensitive adhesive to comprise at least one polyacrylate-based block copolymer.
Abstract:
Moulding composed of one or more block copolymers based on polyacrylate or mixtures comprising such block copolymers, characterized by inherent pressure-sensitive adhesion properties.
Abstract:
The use of macromonomers which have a glass transition temperature of at least 20null C., have at least one oligomeric and/or polymeric structural unit which is incompatible with polyacrylates, and have at least one polymerizable double bond in the form of a vinyl, acrylate and/or methacrylate unit as comonomers in the preparation of oriented polyacrylate pressure sensitive adhesives.
Abstract:
A process for producing pressure-sensitively adhesive punched products from backing material coated with pressure sensitive adhesive, wherein said pressure sensitive adhesive is oriented such that it possesses a preferential direction and, the punching process is carried out continuously.
