    摘要: A communication system that comprises at least two links to carry signals, a first communication unit and a second communication unit. The first communication unit comprises at least two ports, each port configured to transmit and receive signals; and a logic unit configured to process the signals transmitted and received by each of the at least two ports in the first communication unit. The second communication unit comprises at least two ports, each port configured to transmit and receive signals and coupled to a respective one of the at least two ports in the first communication unit via a respective one of the at least two links; a programmable logic unit configured to process the signals transmitted and received by each of the at least two ports in the second communication unit; and a processor. The processor is configured to detect a crossover connection between one of the at least two ports in the second communication unit and the respective one of the at least two ports in the first communication unit based on an analysis of a pair identifier field in a message received at the second communication unit, wherein the pair identifier field is separate from the address field of the received message.

    摘要: A wireless communication system comprises a hub; a plurality of radio access nodes, wherein each of the plurality of radio access nodes is coupled to the hub via a respective communication link. The hub comprises a plurality of forward devices that produce digitized versions of downstream analog radio frequency signals received from a plurality service provider interfaces; a plurality of reverse devices that produce reconstructed versions of upstream analog radio frequency signals for transmission to the plurality of service provider interfaces based on digitized version of the upstream analog radio frequency signals received from the plurality of radio access nodes; a plurality of transport interfaces to couple the hub to the plurality of communication links; and a switch having a plurality of ports communicatively coupled to the hub forward devices, the hub reverse devices, and the transport interfaces, wherein the switch selectively routes the digitized versions of the downstream analog radio frequency signals and the digitized versions of the upstream analog radio frequency signals among the plurality of ports. The plurality of ports comprises a plurality of input ports and plurality of output ports; wherein the switch listens for a device identifier on at least one of the plurality of input ports to determine if a device is communicatively coupled to the at least one of the plurality of input ports. The switch transmits a port identifier over at least one of the plurality of output ports and, thereafter, searches a shared data structure to determine if a device is communicatively coupled to the at least one of the plurality of output ports.

    摘要: An improved circuit and method for decreasing the size and cost of switch mode power supplies is disclosed. In one illustrative example, a feedback circuit for a switch mode power supply is disclosed that includes two error amplifiers. The input of a first error amplifier is coupled to a voltage source associated with a load for the supply, and the input of a second error amplifier is coupled to a current source also associated with the load for the supply. Each one of the error amplifiers includes an adjustable shunt regulator that functions as an amplifier stage and diode. Also, the outputs of the shunt regulators are connected together. Therefore, the shunt regulator of the first error amplifier can be used to select a voltage limit for the power supply, the shunt regulator of the second error amplifier can be used to select a current set point for the power supply, and the open collector functions of the shunt regulators serve to OR the output signals from the two error amplifiers to produce a signal indicating the loading of the supply. In this manner, an improved feedback circuit for a switch mode power supply is provided that performs the same functions as prior feedback circuits, but has at least three less discrete components (e.g., two diodes and a voltage reference) than the prior feedback circuits. Thus, the disclosed feedback circuit significantly reduces both the size and cost of switch mode power supplies.
