摘要: The disclosed technology is directed towards load balancing baseband units in a communications network. A baseband physical layer 1 unit's functions are disaggregated into Layer 1 (L1) distributed units and radio units, instead of deploying full-fledged baseband units at a service′ provider's service areas (cells). A load balancer scales up the number of active distributed units based on increased actual demand, and scales down the active distributed units based on decreased demand. The L1 distributed units and radio units can be software-defined network functions, and need not be collocated, whereby the distributed units can be in the cloud or hub remotely located relative to the radio units deployed at the service areas. Examples of load balancing can be load balancing of transmitted data per carrier, per subcarrier, per user equipment, per transmission time interval (TTI/slot), per bearer, or per channel.

摘要: Resources associated with a responder communication network and a communication network can be managed in an effective manner. In connection with an event, a resource management component (RMC) can analyze network-related data associated with the networks and external data relating to the event or a geographic area related thereto. In connection with the event, based on the analysis, RMC can desirably manage the resources, in part, by determining locations or adjustments for portable base stations, sensors, and/or devices associated with the responder communication network to facilitate high quality communication of information, determining traffic routes and other path planning for vehicles or personnel, creating network slices for high quality communication of information, and/or performing monitoring and intelligent troubleshooting with regard to the networks. RMC can employ artificial intelligence or machine learning techniques and models to facilitate making desired predictions or inferences relating to the event or networks.

摘要: The disclosed subject matter relates to techniques for transmitting reference signals in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication protocols. In one embodiment, a method comprises determining a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for use by a group of mobile devices in association with uplink data transmissions, wherein respective mobile devices of the group of mobile devices are configured to employ a same time and a same frequency resource of a wireless communication network in association with communicating with network devices of the wireless communication network according to a NOMA communication protocol. The method further comprises determining different configuration parameters for application by the respective mobile devices in association with transmitting the DMRS with the uplink data transmissions, wherein the different configuration parameters facilitate differentiating between the DMRS as transmitted by the respective mobile devices. The method further comprises sending the DMRS and the different configuration parameters to the respective mobile devices.

摘要: Security rules to apply to resources, including virtual machines (VMs), in the cloud and on network edges can be learned, determined, and tested. A security management component (SMC) can analyze information relating to data traffic associated with a group of resources associated with a tenant. The analysis can comprise an artificial intelligence analysis. Ingress/egress of the data traffic to/from resources of the group of resources initially can be controlled based on a group of security rules selected by the tenant. Based on a result of the analyzing, SMC can determine a modified group of security rules to apply to the group of resources to control ingress/egress of subsequent data traffic to/from the resources, wherein the result of the analyzing can indicate respective first relationships determined between respective resources and respective second relationships determined between the respective resources and respective network addresses associated with the cloud network.

摘要: Location-based communication using a wireless device (e.g., a mobile device) is enabled. For example, a system can comprise: a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: based on a first network connection of a node of a retail location to network equipment enabling network service for the retail location, determining a first location of the node, based on a second network connection of a mobile device to the network equipment, determining a second location of the mobile device, determining whether a distance between the first location and the second location satisfies a distance threshold, in response to a determination that the distance satisfies the distance threshold, generating message data representative of a message associated with the retail location, and sending the message data to the mobile device, for the message to be presented via the mobile device.

摘要: A method includes making a determination at a user device to transition the user device to a standby mode. The method includes sending a message from the user device to a server of a service provider in response to the determination, where the service provider provides a service to the user device. The method includes receiving, in response to the message, a content stream at the user device. The method includes sending video content generated from the content stream to a display device while the user device is in the standby mode. The method also includes, in response to a time in the standby mode exceeding a threshold, transmitting a second message to the server from the user device. In response to the second message, receipt of the content stream ceases.
