    Abstract: Systems and methods to provide an ultrasound scanner that supports handset wireless network connectivity are described. An ultrasound scanner includes a transducer system that generates, as part of an ultrasound examination, ultrasound data based on reflections of ultrasound signals transmitted by the transducer system. The ultrasound scanner includes a first transceiver that communicates, over a first communication link, the ultrasound data to a display device that displays an ultrasound image based on the ultrasound data. The ultrasound scanner includes one or more additional transceivers that communicate, over a one or more additional communication links and simultaneously with the first transceiver communicating the ultrasound data over the first communication link, the ultrasound data through an access point of a care facility administering the ultrasound examination.

    Abstract: A light source device includes: a light-emitting section including plural light-emitting elements; a shifter that performs a shift operation; and a controller that causes the shifter to perform the shift operation to set, among the plural light-emitting elements, a light-emitting element which is to emit light, that changes the shifter to an OFF state after the set light-emitting element is shifted to a state in which the set light-emitting element is able to emit light, and that causes the set light-emitting element to emit light multiple times by turning ON and OFF a voltage application side of a power source, the power source supplying a light-emitting current which causes the light-emitting element to emit light.

    Abstract: Ion exchange membranes obtainable by curing a composition comprising: (a) a curable monomer comprising at least one anionic or cationic group; (b) a photoinitiator which has an absorption maximum at a wavelength longer than 380 nm when measured in one or more of the following solvents at a temperature of 23° C.: water, ethanol and toluene; (c) at least one co-initiator; and optionally (d) optionally a curable monomer which is free from anionic and cationic groups; wherein at least one of the curable monomers present in the composition comprises an aromatic group.
