    摘要： What is disclosed are novel hot melt adhesives having pressure sensitive properties that are comprised of a combination of two acrylic-based copolymers containing the novel monomer 1(2)-methyl-3-oxa-4-oxo-5-aza-nonyl methacrylate, one of the copolymers being a low glass transition temperature (Tg) copolymer and the other a high Tg copolymer and which hot melt adhesives, by means of reversible hydrogen bond formation and dissociation, possess the reversible properties of providing a strong cohesive strength at ambient temperature but also having a melt viscosity at elevated coating temperatures such that it can be used in hot melt coating equipment; a process for making said hot melt adhesives; and a process for making adhesive tapes and bandages using said adhesives.

    摘要： A process is disclosed for delivery thrombin in dry powdered form from an aerosol container by first lyophilizing an aqueous solution of thrombin and a thrombin-compatible synthetic polymer e.g. polyvinyl pyrrolidone, placing the lyophilized cake in a pressure bottle by crimping on a valve stem and top, filling liquified chlorofluoroalkane-containing aerosol propellant into the bottle, and actuating the valve to dispense in dry-finely divided powdered form a mixture of thrombin and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, which powdered thrombin is for use in controlling bleeding during surgery.

    摘要： A surgical dressing is disclosed which is composed of a polymeric film having a moisture vapor transmission rate between 15 and 80 grams per 100 sq. inches per 24 hours. There is an adhesive around the periphery on the lower surface of the film and a series of apertures through the film of the adhesive. There is an absorbent pad on the upper surface of the film secured in place by a fibrous covering material. The fibrous covering material is adhesively coated and is of the same dimensions as the film so that it may be removed without lifting the film from the skin of the patient.

Both the body portion and the handling tape are formed as two superimposed layers on a twin needle bed knitting machine, the respective longitudinal and/or laterally extending edges of each layer being joined by interknitting.The swab may be cut from a continuous swab strip which is formed by continuously knitting a length of body portion fabric and of handling tape fabric with a lateral band of the fabrics being knitted together at intervals. Individual swabs are separated from the strip by cutting through the lateral band.
