    摘要: The periodontal pocket measurement apparatus of the present invention comprises a main handpiece unit provided with a cover member for covering the front end portion thereof, an operation member mounted at the front end of the cover member and being slidable in the longitudinal direction of the cover member, a flexible sleeve attached to the operation member and projecting from the front end of the cover member, and a probe attached to the cover member, passing through the sleeve and being exposable at its tip from the tip of the sleeve, being characterized in that the main handpiece unit is provided with energizing means for pushing a movable portion including the operation member and the sleeve toward the front end. With this structure, operation can be made easily when measuring the depth of a periodontal pocket of a patient by detecting the positional difference between the tip of the probe and the tip of the sleeve when the tip of the probe is inserted into the bottom portion of the periodontal pocket and the tip of the sleeve is made contact with the upper fringe of the gingiva.

    摘要: A medical X-ray tomographing apparatus, wherein the output end surfaces of a plurality of optical fiber bundles are optically coupled to the image pickup surfaces of vertically long solid-state image pickup devices, such as one-dimensional image sensors, and the input end surfaces of a plurality of the optical fiber bundles having a vertically long cross-sectional shape being identical to that of the output end surfaces thereof are optically coupled individually to a plurality of vertically long divisions obtained by dividing the fluorescent surface of a scintillator in the width direction thereof. With this apparatus, it is not necessary to significantly contract the size of the image on the fluorescent surface, thereby remarkably reducing the number of the solid-state image pickup devices and the number of the divisions of the fluorescent surface.

    摘要: A patient positioning device in a medical panorama X-ray photographing apparatus in which after data of the relative position of the subject to the X-ray photographing apparatus supplied from a sensor is compared with data of the relative position of a tomographic zone to the X-ray photographing apparatus thus to produce comparison data which is in turn transmitted to a drive circuit, a tomograph forming assembly and/or the subject is moved from coinciding with each other. The device further includes a comparing arithmetic circuit in which the detected position data of the subject and position data of the tomographic zone are arithmetically compared in order to improve operatability and positioning accuracy. The device furthermore includes a sensor which is adjustable for angular and vertical setting with the use of sensing position changing means in order to improve adaptability to individualities of the subject.

With this laser handpiece, an operator can accurately and easily treat even relatively small and complicated shaped teeth and periodontal sections in the mouth.     摘要: A vertical movement and fixture device to be used for, for instance, a dental tomograph for photographing entire jaw including a vertical support having a vertical groove inside, a block base which is slidably fit in the groove and is fixed to a slider and a means for fixing and releasing the block base at any desired position in the groove, the means for fixing and releasing the base block comprising a horizontal shaft, a pair of links each one end of which is swingably connected to one end of the horizontal shaft respectively, a pair of brake shoes which are respectively secured to the other ends of the links, and an operation member which supports and vertically moves the other end of the horizontal shaft. According to the device, the block base can be firmly fixed to and released from the support simply by applying slight control force and the cost of the device is low since its construction is entirely mechanical. Therefore, the device of the present invention is far more advantageous than conventional devices.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to an improved method for driving a hand-piece of the air drive type to improve its cutting performance, and to increase its cutting load in a low range of rotational speed in particular, and also relates to a device for practicing the method. The disclosed method employs compressed high-velocity fluid exhausted to one side of an annular space in which blades rotate after having once been jetted at said blade guided along the rotating direction of said blades and then causing it to reenter the annular space in a diagonal direction with respect to the rotational direction of the blades for further driving the running blades in the same sense.
