摘要： For preventing break-out in a continuous casting plant in which the quantity of molten material being supplied to a mold is controlled to a predetermined level, changes in the quantity of molten material being supplied to the mold is constantly monitored. The time behavior of quantity increases of molten material being supplied to the mold is determined and a break-out signal is produced when the quantity of molten material increases at more than a predetermined rate. The break-out signal may be produced only when the rate of change of molten material in the mold and the rate of change of the speed of a casting leaving the mold are less than predetermined values.

A separate starting member blocks discharge through the starting pipe and floats upon a melt reaching a desired level. 摘要： For a slide closure 10 attached to a pouring vessel 2 which has a movable slide part 14 disposed between a bottom plate 12 and a discharge part 16, there is, in addition to a cylinder piston unit 24 acting on the slide part, which unit is dominant by way of a servocontrol block 26 by regulating arrangement 32, a vibrator 36 which is controlled by an oscillator 34. The vibrator 36 is switched into the connection between the cylinder-piston unit 24 and the movable slide part 14, and is in a position to oscillatingly drive the latter both in its closing position as well as in other positions and, indeed, in the same direction as the cylinder piston unit. A position generator 44 starts the oscillator 34 forcibly in the closed position.

摘要： A method and installation is disclosed for the replacement of a bottom closure of a track-mounted pugh-type transfer ladle having a transfer container supported by two longitudinally spaced-apart bogies which are pivotally attached to the transfer container for swinging movement about a vertical axis, the transfer container having a removable bottom closure located between said bogies. The ladle is moved longitudinally of itself and the two bogies are directed on to different tracks which are spaced from each other to thereby swing the bogies relative to the transfer container and increase the longitudinal space between the bogies; and thereafter the closure is replaced from below through the resulting increased space.

摘要： A casting installation comprising a container for a molten metal and provided with control slide means disposed at the region of the bottom opening of the container. The control slide means incorporate a housing and a cover member, with a slide member movably mounted between such housing and cover member. Further, a slide plate is provided for said slide member, said slide plate having a throughflow opening. Means are provided for guiding said slide member in a substantially linear path, such linear guiding means being guide groove means or guide ledge means provided on the cover member. Positioning element means provided at the cover member and the housing engage one another, in order to maintain the path of sliding movement for the slide member which is determined by said linear guiding means in a plane containing the axis of material throughflow.
