    摘要: The present invention allows accurate determination as to if deformation of a vehicle side part has occurred or not as a result of a side impact even though the used data consists of outputs of acceleration sensors for detecting accelerations given as combinations of deformation of a vehicle side part and a travel of the vehicle body. The device comprises a unit for detecting an acceleration produced in a first part of the vehicle body which moves in response to a deformation of the vehicle side part resulting from a side impact; a unit for detecting an acceleration produced in a second part of the vehicle body which substantially does not move in response to a deformation of the vehicle side part resulting from a side impact; a unit for analyzing frequency components included in a time change of the detected acceleration of the first vehicle body part over a prescribed preceding time period; a unit for analyzing frequency components included in a time change of the detected acceleration of the second vehicle body part over a prescribed preceding time period; and a unit for determining deformation of a vehicle side part resulting from a side impact according to the frequency components obtained by the two analyzing units.

    摘要: A signal generator for generating an output signal that is an accurate image of an input signal. A keyboard transmits an input signal and an image controlling device receives the input signal. The image controlling device includes a level variation detecting device which samples the input signal at a sampling rate determined by a sampling period generating device. When the level variation detecting device detects a variation in the levels of a currently sampled value and a previously sampled value it adjusts the image signal accordingly so that the output signal is an accurate image of the input signal. A synchronization signal transmitter transmits a synchronization signal to the keyboard. The keyboard includes a counter which counts the synchronization signal. The counter generates the input image signal that is transmitted to the image controlling device. The synchronization signal transmitter provides synchronization between the image signal and the sampling device so that level variations in the input signal are designed to change in synchronization with the sampling rate. Accordingly, the level variation detecting device can detect any level variations in the input signal accurately.

    摘要: In an image processing system for use in processing a sequence of image signals carrying a moving image, the image signal sequence is divided into a sequence of partial image signals each of which carries a scene subsequence defined by scene changes. A background signal generator determines a background portion of the moving image by monitoring a whole of each partial image signal and produces a background signal. The background signal is coded by a coder prior to a sequence of error signals resulting from predictive coding of each partial signal. During prediction of the background signal, the error signals may be rendered to zero in the coder. The background signal may be either determined at every picture element or at every block composed of a plurality of picture elements.

    摘要: A paper feeder roller wherein a motor transfers a driving force to a deceleration gear train. The deceleration gear train transfers this force to the shaft of a paper feeder roller which is rotated thereto. A plate connected to the paper feeder roller is rotatable about an axis so that the rotation of the plate rotates the paper feeder roller in and out of engagement with the deceleration gear train. When the paper feeder roller is disengaged with the deceleration gear train, the paper feeder roller can be rotated manually.
