An object is to realize a novel reverse osmosis membrane (more specifically, reverse osmosis composite membrane) that is capable of suppressing biofouling. The object is attained with use of a reverse osmosis composite membrane which is obtained by chemically modifying a surface thereof with a compound that has an amino group and that is obtained by modifying the amino group with two molecules of α-picolyl group and has a dipicolylamine structure.

An isolated expression enhancer active in a plant, portion of a plant or plant cell, the expression enhancer is provided. The isolated expression enhancer may be selected from the group consisting of nbEPI42 (SEQ ID NO:1); nbSNS46 (SEQ ID NO:2); nbCSY65 (SEQ ID NO:3); nbHEL40 (SEQ ID NO:4); and nbSEP44 (SEQ ID NO:5). Methods for using the isolated expression enhancer are also provided.

Provided is a compact two-dimensional electron spectrometer that is capable of variably adjusting the deceleration ratio over a wide range, and performing simultaneous measurement of the two-dimensional emission angle distribution with a high energy resolution over a wide solid angle of acquisition. The two-dimensional electron spectrometer is configured from: a variable deceleration ratio spherical aberration correction electrostatic lens; a cylindrical mirror type energy analyzer or a wide angle energy analyzer; and a projection lens. The variable deceleration ratio spherical aberration correction electrostatic lens is configured from: an electrostatic lens that consists of an axially symmetric spherical mesh having a concave shape with respect to a point source, and one or a plurality of axially symmetrical electrodes, and that adjusts the spherical aberration of charged particles generated from the point source; and an axially symmetric deceleration field generating electrode that is placed coaxially with the electrostatic lens.

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a dopant composition-nanomaterial composite, which method makes it possible to simply and efficiently change a Seebeck coefficient value of a nanomaterial. This manufacture method of the present invention includes the step of putting a dopant composition in contact with a nanomaterial in a solvent, the dopant composition containing an anion, a cation, and a scavenger.

An image generating apparatus for generating an output image based on an input panorama image, includes a parameter input unit inputting an output range parameter and a correction parameter, the output range parameter designating an output range in the panorama image, the correction parameter designating a correction part to be corrected in the output image; and an image correction unit correcting the correction part designated by the correction parameter in the output image. Further, the image correction unit calculates a similarity between the correction part and peripheral pixels and corrects the correction part based on the similarity and the peripheral pixels, and the output image is generated from the output range of the panorama image and is the panorama image corrected by the correction.

A scan asynchronous memory element includes: an asynchronous memory element configured to receive an n-input; and a scan control logic circuit configured to generate an n-bit signal input and the n-input to the asynchronous memory element from a scan input. The scan control logic circuit outputs the signal input when a control signal supplied to the scan control logic circuit has a first bit pattern, the scan control logic circuit outputs the scan input when the control signal has a second bit pattern, and the scan control logic circuit outputs a bit pattern allowing the asynchronous memory element to hold a previous value when the control signal has a bit pattern other than the first and second bit patterns.
Abstract:
The problem of providing a technology that converts a Brassica rapa plant having self-incompatibility to having self-compatibility is addressed. The problem is solved by causing a pollen factor (SP11) to be inactive at a self-incompatibility gene locus for a Brassica rapa plant, while maintaining the inverted repeat sequence (SMI) on a class I dominant S haplotype.

A translation apparatus that can perform translation based on a correct syntax, a syntax evaluation apparatus employed in the translation apparatus, a syntax evaluation method, and a syntax evaluation program are provided. A syntax evaluation unit 13 includes a grammatical element guessing part 131 that guesses a grammatical element that should be connected before and after or after a word string indicated by first fragment data, and a grammatical element complementing part 132 that complements, based on the guessing result of the grammatical element guessing part 131, the first fragment data as necessary to generate second fragment data. When the grammatical element guessing part 131 guesses a grammatical element, the grammatical element complementing part 132 complements, at a location to which the grammatical element of the word string indicated by the first fragment data should be connected, a tag indicating the grammatical element in order to generate the second fragment data. When the grammatical element guessing part 131 does not guess a grammatical element, the grammatical element complementing part 132 handles the first fragment data as the second fragment data.

According to a method of generating a key of the present invention, a first device and a second device are first brought into contact with one vibrator. In this state, the vibrator generates vibration. A first acceleration sensor provided in the first device and a second acceleration sensor provided in the second device detect the vibration. Subsequently, the first device notifies the second device of a first feature value based upon the detection result of the first acceleration sensor. The second device notifies the first device of a second feature value based upon the detection result of the second acceleration sensor. Then the first device compares the notified second feature value with the first feature value and generates a key based upon the comparison result. The second device compares the notified first feature value with the second feature value and generates a key based upon the comparison result.
