摘要： A seal for a shaft rotatably mounted in a housing. The seal is fabricated of a resilient material and includes a generally hollow elliptical attachment and an annular lip-shaped element which extends outwardly at an angle from a top side of the attachment. The lip-shaped element has a terminal free end which rests against the housing in a plane perpendicular to the shaft axis. When the seal is slidably positioned on the shaft the elliptical attachment deforms into a cylindrical shape in sealing relation with the shaft. This deformation causes the lip-shaped element to assume an elliptical configuration. Rotation of the shaft relative to the housing causes the free end of the lip-shaped element to move back and forth in a radial direction affecting removal of dirt particles from the housing.

摘要： A method and apparatus for manufacturing a multilayer powder blank, and the product of such manufacture which is suitable for subsequent extrusion. A hollow cylindrical container with its central axis oriented horizontally is rotated while powder is allowed to fall from a powder distribution tube in the center of the container downward onto the inner surface of the rotating wall, thereby forming successive layers of powder which are maintained in position by centrifugal forces acting thereon. The powder blank consisting of the multiple layers is removed from the container, isostatically compressed, and finally sintered, with fusion of the outer powder layers into a fused, water-tight coating.

摘要： A rolling element bearing system comprises at least one rolling element bearing with an outer race and an inner race which enclose a space containing rolling elements, which space is confined to the outside by sealing rings. At least one of the sealing rings and/or one of the races is provided with flow generating structure for feeding a lubricant into the space, as well as a filter for preventing the ingress of contaminations into the space with the lubricant. Preferably at least one of the sealing rings at its edge which slidably contacts one of the races has a shape which promotes the outflow out of the space towards the outside of the sealing ring during relative movement of the sealing ring and race.

摘要： The process is principally based upon an electrochemical technique due to which the binding material for tungsten and cobalt is dissolved and from the solution under certain conditions cobalt or its composition is regained. From the undissolved material after electrolysis tungsten is disposed. By this improved method a very fast decomposition of the hard metal is obtained. Tungsten carbide scrap--a waste material from hard metal tools--can be a decomposed preferably by electrolysis as shown in FIGURE attached.

摘要： A process for the production of objects consisting of at least two parts, such as the inner and outer rings of a bearing movable relative to one another. One part is substantially enclosed within the other part and at least one of the parts comprises at least two separate elements. These elements are placed against one another and held in the correct position in relation to the other part. Thereafter, a high energy beam welding means such as a laser or electron beam is set up over the juncture line between the two elements and operated while at least the two elements are moved bodily in order to move the juncture line past the energy beam and weld the pieces together. The process also includes the use of one or more loose members such as rolling elements which are introduced at the time the two elements of one part are assembled in the correct position in relation to the other part and thereafter the two elements of the one part are welded together.

摘要： An improved self-centering clutch thrust bearing is described which includes a rolling bearing assembly and a sleeve bearing. The sleeve bearing and rolling bearing assembly each include radially extending flanges and means are provided for captivating the flanges in an axial direction while allowing limited play in a radial direction. An annular collar and an annular disc are also provided and are positioned for enabling a limited relative motion in a radial direction between the bearing assembly and the sleeve bearing.
