摘要： A separable fastener especially suitable for heavy duty sheet-like enclosures comprises complementary, resilient hooked rib and groove closure strips having angular hinged flange connections for attachment to generally coplanar enclosure sheet margins capable of acting as expansion joints permitting a range of pulling apart of said margins without disturbing the interlocking relationship of the ribs and grooves of the fastener strips. A simple U-shaped slider can be employed to effect closing only of the fastener, and a pull flange is provided for opening of the fastener when desired, but only with a degree of difficulty.

摘要： A mechanism and method for making material for multiple plastic bags with reclosable fasteners thereon, including either continuously supplying a flattened plastic film tube and cutting a strip from the front wall to expose the rear wall or supplying a flattened film sheet and folding back both ends so as to leave a central exposed section and applying a rear fastener strip to the rear wall or exposed section of the film and applying front fastener strips to the edges of the front wall or folded ends of the film, positioning an anvil within the film and simultaneously applying high speed continuous heat sealing means such as ultrasonic sealing horns to the web portions of the fastener strips and film to form a seal, and thereafter joining the front fastener strips to the rear fastener strip and rolling the material on a supply roll for later cutting the bags down the center of the rear fastener strip, or else continuously supplying a flat film sheet and guiding one or more sets of fastener strips to the surface of said film sheet, positioning an anvil below said film and simultaneously applying high speed continuous heat sealing means, such as an ultrasonic sonic process, to the surface of the web portions of the fastener strips and film sheet to form a continuous seal, and joining and cutting between the fastener strips as required, and crosscutting the assembly to form a series of bags.

摘要： A fluid-tight fastener comprising a pair of flexible closure strips each having a web portion and a marginal strip portion, at least the marginal strip portions being formed from strongly resilient material. The marginal strip portions have respective complementary longitudinal interlocking ribs and grooves, the ribs being wider than the grooves and the grooves deeper than the height of the ribs so that the ribs as received in the grooves cause the grooves to expand and bridges connecting the sides of the grooves to stretch and react under tension and to place the ribs under compression, whereby the ribs are sealingly gripped in fluid-tight relation within the grooves.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for a tray arrangement for a series of continuously linked trays. The trays are adapted to be stacked by a twisting mechanism and by a series of curved side guards which twist and bend the links connecting the trays in order to arrange the trays into the proper configuration. The trays are then unstacked by another series of curved side guards and twisting mechanism and then each tray is in turn moved to a filling station where filling material is dispensed therein. The filled tray is then moved to a lid closing station where the attached flipped open lid of the tray is closed atop the tray. The tray is then pulled by a side grasping pull flange to a position where an overhead piston driven mechanism seals the lid and cuts the link, separating the tray from the nested of the trays.
