摘要: A bed comprises a mattress and a topper resting atop the mattress and extending in longitudinal and lateral directions. The topper has a fluid flowpath having an inlet and an outlet. The flowpath exhibits a nonuniform resistance to fluid flow in at least one of the longitudinal and lateral directions. The bed also includes a blower connected to the inlet for supplying air to the flowpath. The resistance may be a monotonically varying resistance to fluid flow in at least one of the longitudinal and lateral directions and configured to preferentially drive fluid flow through the topper so that a larger proportion of the fluid flowing through the topper flows under a target region and a relatively smaller portion bypasses the target region.

The fluid distribution member is configured to at least partially distribute fluid within said fluid distribution member.

摘要: A cooling and heating system for seats and other user items utilizes a thermally conductive sheet with one or more thermoelectric devices. This thermally conductive sheet has high thermal conductivity and is flexible, and may comprise polyimide, graphite, PGS graphite, carbon fiber, or more advanced materials such as graphene or carbon nanotubes or other high thermal conductivity material such as copper or aluminum sheet or mesh. The thermally conductive flexible sheet with remote thermoelectric device provides good temperature uniformity across the seat, quick response time, and excellent performance in extreme ambient temperatures. The high thermal conductivity sheet can be placed in the seat area between the upholstery and seat cushion with thermoelectric devices thermally connected to the thermally conductive sheet away from the occupant seating area to provide comfortable and durable seating with thermal comfort control. Heat rejection may be accomplished using a heat sink (with or without a fan) or a heat pipe connected to a heat sink (with or without a fan) or other heat rejection mechanisms.

摘要: A method and system may include transmitting a signal to a pump of an air mattress to set the pressure of the air mattress to an initial pressure; receiving, at a central controller, a user preference condition for an automatic adjustment of the pressure in the air mattress; receiving, at the central controller, an indication that the air mattress is empty; and based on determining that the user preference condition has been met and receiving the indication: detecting a change in the pressure of the air mattress beyond a threshold value; and based on the detection, adjusting the pressure of the air mattress to the initial pressure.

摘要: A sleep surface insert system and method for positioning under, for example, an infant on a sleep surface. The sleep surface insert system includes an insert and a blower system. The insert includes a top liner and a bottom liner. The top liner and bottom liner define first and a second hollow spaces therebetween. Further, the top liner includes first and second pores such that the first pores extend through the top liner from the first hollow space and the second pores extend through the top liner from the second hollow space. In addition, the blower system is configured to provide air flow into the first and second hollow spaces defined in the insert such that the air flow is configured to flow into the insert and out of at least one of the first pores and the second pores.

The transmitter may be electrically coupled to a processor and may receive input from the touch sensor, for communication control signals to the adjustable bed in accordance with the input received from the touch sensor.

摘要: An air distribution pad comprises an upper layer, a lower layer, and a spacer material located between the upper layer and the lower layer, the spacer material configured to allow air to pass therethrough. An air distributor is configured to distribute air to the spacer material, wherein the air distributor comprises a port configured to receive an air hose, wherein the port is directed laterally sideways from the air distributor. At least one joining structure is coupled to the upper layer and the lower layer, the at least one joining structure providing one or more channels formed through the spacer material in fluid communication with the air distributor. The one or more channels are configured to direct generally laterally flowing air from the port of the air distributor to a generally longitudinal direction along the at least one channel.

The method also includes providing a touchscreen Bluetooth remote control adapted to control at least one aspect of the adjustable bed frame, wherein the at least one aspect includes operation of the air pump. The method also includes establishing a unique communication link between a controller and the touchscreen Bluetooth remote control, the controller configured to control both the adjustable bed frame and the air pump. An aspect of the adjustable bed frame may be controlled by via communication over the unique communication.

摘要: This disclosure concerns a wireless communication system adapted to produce a closed-loop feedback scheme between a handheld remote control and an adjustable bed controller. The adjustable bed controller is adapted to, in response to a receipt of a motion command from the handheld remote control via the closed-loop feedback scheme, adjust, with feedback, a portion of an adjustable bed. The feedback is based on a comparison of sensor feedback and a predetermined position stored in a memory of the adjustable bed controller. The handheld remote control can receive, through the closed-loop feedback scheme, a returned confirmation reflecting the state of the position of the bed segment in response to the control signal.
