摘要： A heat exchange apparatus includes an outer shell defining a cavity and a volume-occupying member received within the cavity. The outer shell and the volume-occupying member cooperate to define a fluid-receiving volume therebetween. An opening in the outer shell defines a passageway for receiving a liquid to be heated therethrough. The opening includes a fastener for removably attaching to an open top of a container containing a liquid to be heated, wherein the liquid to be heated will flow from the container into the fluid-receiving volume when the apparatus is inverted and the liquid will flow back into the container when the bottle is returned to the upright position.

One example beverage appliance includes a sensor configured to detect an operational characteristic of the beverage appliance and a controller coupled to the sensor. The controller is configured to send a signal indicative of the detected operational characteristic to a remote communication device. One example method for operating a beverage appliance using a remote communication device includes receiving a selection of at least one setting for a beverage operation, transmitting the at least one setting to the beverage appliance, receiving at least one of beverage data and operational data from the beverage appliance, determining when the beverage operation is complete, generating an alert when the beverage operation is complete, and displaying, on a display device of the remote communication device, an indicator of the time since the completion of the beverage operation.

摘要： An assembly is provided for heating a liquid, such as coffee. The assembly includes a container in which the liquid is retained, first and second electrodes associated with the container, an energy source with which the container can be engaged such that the first electrode comes into contact with the energy source, and a control circuit for supplying voltage from the energy source to the first electrode so that current will pass from the first electrode through the liquid and to the second electrode. Liquid in the container contacts the first and second electrodes and provides an electrical path from the first electrode to the second electrode.

The container includes a heater and a temperature sensor which is electrically connected with a control circuit in the control panel. A release port is defined in a bottom of the container and a pipe is connected between the release portion and the pouring port. The coffee or tea maker automatically heats the water, supplies the water into the operation cup to make coffee or tea and stores the coffee or tea in the thermal carafe without extra help from the users.
