    摘要: There are provided a surgical jig (24) which is directly used during surgery to make it possible to accurately recognize a position where a recess (44, 46) is to be formed in the surface of a surgical target bone (14) of a patient; and a verification jig (34) which is directly used during surgery to make it possible to precisely verify whether or not the recess (44, 46) formed in the surface of the surgical targeted bone (14) of the patient is of a required shape.The surgical jig (24) has an inner surface (26) matching the surface shape of the surgical target bone (14) of the patient, and a penetrating opening (30, 32) formed in correspondence with a site where the recess (44, 46) is to be formed. The verification jig (34) has a protrusion (40, 42) protruding from an inner surface (36) thereof in correspondence with the recess (44, 46) to be formed.

    摘要: A surgical guide tool and methodology includes a non patient-specific platform including one or more supports for attaching to a body part of a subject. A non patient-specific block has a top planar surface and a bottom planar surface, and includes a guide aperture extending from the top planar surface to the bottom planar surface for guiding a surgical instrument in making at least one of a cut and a drill hole. An intermediate module is removably positioned between the platform and the block. The intermediate module has patient-specific dimensions such that the guide aperture has a desired alignment relative to the body part when the surgical guide tool is attached to the body part of the patient and the intermediate module is positioned between the platform and the block.

    摘要: A system that harvests cartilage, trims the thickness of the cartilage and shapes the cartilage for reconstruction of the tympanic membrane. The system includes a punch and a template. Punch can include a handle and a plurality of interchangeable cutters having differently shaped cutting portions and a first cutting portion harvests cartilage. Template includes top template and bottom template between which harvested cartilage can be captured to trim the cartilage to a desired thickness. The punch can then be fitted with a second cutter having a desired shape, which is inserted through a pass through recess one of the templates to contact the cartilage to punch out the desired shape in the cartilage.

    摘要: A surgical tool lifts an overlying layer of skin away from underlying bone to prepare the bone to accommodate a convex element of an implantable device. The tool includes a lifting shell for insertion between the skin and the bone so as to lift the skin away from bone. A tool base supports the lifting shell and is supported by the bone. A drill template opening in the tool base provides access for preparing the bone to accommodate the convex element.
