    摘要: Described herein is a medical device for treating a target site, the medical device including, a proximal end including a disc and a distal end including a lobe. The disc and the lobe are connected by a connecting member. The lobe includes a proximal portion defining a proximal surface of the lobe, a distal portion defining a distal surface of the lobe, and a middle portion connecting and extending between the proximal portion and the distal portion. A first transition between the proximal portion and the middle portion is curved, and a second transition between the middle portion and the distal portion is curved. The medical device also includes a plurality of stabilizing wires coupled to the lobe at a radially outer surface of the middle portion, each stabilizing wire including a hook portion extending radially outward from the at least one lobe.

    摘要: A biodegradable device for maintaining the alignment of the edges of a trocar defect, consisting of two bases joined by a connector, a first base to be positioned below the defect and a second base above. The first base has a threaded hole from its upper surface but not through the lower surface. The connector attached to the bases such that there is a hole aligned with the threaded hole in the first base allowing a device to mate with the threads in the first base. The second base has a hole aligned with the hole in the connector and wide enough to allow a device to mate with the threads in the first base. The device is arranged so the distance between the lower surface of the second base and upper surface of the first base holds but does not compress the fascia around the trocar defect.

    摘要: An implantable biodegradable device consisting of an inner button attached to a cylindrical segment, and an outer button attached to a retainment feature. The cylindrical segment is threaded on one end, with a surface groove. The retainment feature consists of radial strips with bent ends. The diameter of the radial strips is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the cylinder. The bent ends fit into the groove. An insertion tool can attach to the threads in the cylinder and push the inner button through a wound, then, holding the inner button in place, push the outer button toward the inner button until the bent ends engage with the groove. The top of the threaded end of the cylindrical segment is adjacent to the back surface of the outer button when the bent ends of the retainment feature are engaged with the groove.
