摘要: A method for applying a metal on a substrate comprises: a) applying a coating by treatment in a plasma, comprising a compound selected from alkanes up to 10 carbon atoms, and unsaturated monomers, and b1) producing polymers on the surface of the substrate, the polymers comprising carboxylic groups and adsorbed ions of a second metal, reducing the ions to the second metal, or alternatively b2) producing polymers on the surface, bringing the surface of the substrate in contact with a dispersion of colloidal metal particles of at least one second metal, and c) depositing the first metal on the second metal. Advantages include that materials sensitive to, for instance, low pH or solvents can be coated. Substrates including glass, SiO2 with very few or no abstractable hydrogen atoms as well as polymer materials containing halogen atoms can be coated with good adhesion.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for the production preformed fragmentation casing or parts thereof intended to generate fragments initiated by the detonation of the explosive contained in warhead charges where the said casing or parts thereof are of the type that comprise a single-unit moulded part (7, 10 and 25,28) created by sintering powder metal and where the said moulded part contains embedded separately produced fragmentation bodies (4,21, 34). A distinguishing feature as claimed in the present invention is that the moulded part in which the fragmentation bodies (4, 21, 34) are embedded is produced by means of a two-stage powder compaction method followed by sintering together the compacted powder metal. The method described in the present invention defines how in an initial stage the fragmentation bodies (4, 21, 34) are fixed in position using a fixture (2) after which the said bodies are covered with powder metal that is then compacted until the powder forms a single moulded part (2) after which the fixture is replaced with a second quantity of powder that is also compacted to form a self-supporting unit (12) together with the first quantity of powder and both of the said quantities of powder material are then sintered together to form a single-unit metal part. The present invention comprises several different variants of the said method that are well-suited for producing different types of fragmentation casing for use in warheads. The present invention also comprises fragmentation casing produced in accordance with the said present method.

摘要: A media stream system (140) processes plural media streams (148), e.g., speech streams or speech channels. The system comprises plural processors (146), each of which execute one or more plural types of media stream processing functions (147). A switch function (144) routes packets of the plural media streams to a sequence of the plural processors whereby the plural types of media stream processing functions are sequentially performed relative to the packets. A packet size for the packets is chosen to minimize overhead load on at least one of the plural processors without causing undue delay for a packet awaiting processing by the at least one of the plural processors. In an example non-limiting implementation, the packet size for a packet of media information is chosen to be 160 octets, consecutive packets of a same media stream being separated by a packet repetition interval which is 20 milliseconds.
