    摘要: The disclosure provides a protective visor applicable to multiple operation environments for dust prevention, anti-shock glasses, chemical defense and ray radiation protection. The protective visor comprises a headband, a face shield, protective goggles, a light shading screen, a light grid and a housing, which are connected to each other. The light shading screen and the light grid constitute a light refraction and transmission device for refracting and transmitting the light, which includes a light aperture processed to have a curved surface and located at the front and upper end portion of the housing. The light aperture has a serrated lattice shutter structure, and the light shading screen is disposed at the outer side of the light aperture. The protective visor can effectively prevent foreign splash, and absorb radiant heat and certain ultraviolet rays to protect an operator's face.

    摘要: Examples of security lighting routines are tailored to disrupt visual perception and/or acuity so as to significantly reduce the ability of a person or persons, who has breached security, to function within a secured space. A routine triggered in response to a security breach may include a flash at a relatively high intensity, some number of times brighter than normal illumination for the space. Some examples of routines include a warning light and/or a pre-flash light emission such as dim lighting or a flicker, to effectively prepare the person in the space for maximum effectiveness of the flash. Other examples of the routines may also include a post-flash sequence of multiple color light emissions, such as alternating emissions in sequence of pulses of different colors of light using emission and/or off time parameters that vary in an irregular manner.

    摘要: A passive broadband sensor protection and enhancement system and technique.ncident light is focused with a cylindrical lens on the optical axis into an intense light strip onto the input face of a photorefractive crystal which may include optional anti-reflection coatings on the input and output face. A broadband high reflection coating proximate to the input face reflects all radiation from approximately 0.68 out to at least 1.5 micrometers wavelength and light exiting includes a transmitted beam and beam fan. A weak holographic grating is used to seed the beam fan, such that is fanned out of the optical path in a direction determined by the c-axis, dominant electro-optic coefficient, and charge carriers participating in the photorefractive process. The transmitted beam contains only incoherent radiation as input to a sensitive detector resulting in broadband multiline protection from the visible spectrum for substantially all pulsewidths and cw lasers, with enhanced time response and interaction length.

The device can be constructed using electro-optic materials or nonlinear optical materials. If electro-optical materials, i.e., those for which the refractive index can be controlled by an external field, or nonlinear optical materials, i.e, those for which the refractive index can be controlled by the light intensity, are used to construct the present invention, it is possible to achieve dynamic switching, that is, the device is clear in the off-state and it is highly reflective over a broad band in the on-state.

    摘要: The present invention is a novel and improved variable color/variable density optical system (10) adapted for use in a variety of lens and window applications. The preferred device embodying the invention is a novel optical sunlight protective device (12) incorporating a liquid crystal color lens, a photodetecting sensor component and circuit (18) and oscillating/driving electronic circuit (70), all of the present invention and incorporated in an appropriate frame (24). The lens element (b 14) includes plastic housing (40,42) of a curved shape complementary to any desired fashion design and, a liquid crystalline medium (58) of the novel phase change guest-host type. Combination of the lens construction, homeotropic surface alignment (48, 50) and aforementioned liquid crystal/dye complex brings about the clear, optical distortion-free variable color transmission with broad ranges of color density with incorporated protection against ultraviolet radiation. Two conductive layers of lens elements (44, 46) are connected to the driving electronics (70) of the present invention such that variations in light intensity on the photo-detecting sensor component and circuit (18) result in final corresponding variations in the alignment of liquid crystalline complex (58), thus altering the light transmissivity of the lens element (14). Eyewear products incorporating the optical device (10) function effectively under both bright sunshine and overcast or foggy conditions, including all intermediate and changing light conditions, thus making them useful over a wide range of applications.
