摘要: A bone fixture with various moduli has an implant body. The implant body includes a first implanting segment adapted to be implanted into a cortical bone of a bone and a second implanting segment adapted to be implanted into a cancellous bone of the bone and located below the first implant segment. A first young's modulus of the first implanting segment is smaller than a second young's modulus of the second implanting segment. Because the first young's modulus of the first implanting segment adapted to be implanted in the cortical bone is smaller than the second young's modulus of the second implanting segment adapted to be implanted in the cancellous bone, forces applied to the bone fixture can be evenly distributed to avoid the stress concentration at the cortical bone of the bone.

摘要: A method for masking the appearance of a support structure underlying a highly translucent ceramic dental restoration is provided. The porous form of a zirconia ceramic dental restoration is treated with a liquid masking composition comprising 0.4 wt % to 50 wt % of one or more masking agents. The masking composition is applied to the internal surface of a restoration and a region of the facial surface of the restoration that is opposite the internal surface. After application of the masking compositions, treated zirconia restoration is sintered to greater than 98% theoretical density.

摘要: A dental pulp capping composition can comprise a particulate base material which is non-toxic, and capable of forming a structural capping matrix; and a particulate setting material which is non-toxic, water-soluble, biocompatible, and capable of setting the composition. Optional growth factors can also be introduced into the composition to facilitate dental tissue repair. A complimentary method of restoring damaged tooth features can comprise removing diseased and/or damaged portions of the tooth to expose a prepared tooth region. Water can be added to the dental pulp capping composition to form a workable coherent paste. The workable coherent paste can be introduced into the prepared tooth region. The workable coherent paste can then be shaped within the prepared tooth region and then set to form a rigid biomimetic structure within the prepared tooth region.

A separately packed curable composition includes: (A) a first pack containing: (a1) a polymerizable monomer having no acidic group, (b) a polymerizable monomer having an acidic group, and (c) a transition metal compound; and (B) a second pack containing: (a2) a polymerizable monomer having no acidic group, (d) an aromatic amine compound, and (e) at least one compound selected from sulfinic acid and a salt thereof.

摘要: A unique CAD subtract body intended to create a design of a mating surface for a veneering overlay and a dental implant framework wherein the unique CAD subtract body is derived from a diagnostic wax-up surface model. The diagnostic wax-up surface model is created from at least one of scanning a diagnostic wax up or denture tooth set up, CAD models in a virtual set up, an intraoral scan of a diagnostic wax up or denture tooth set up taken in a patient's mouth, a CT scan or series of CT scans of a patient's mouth, a CT scan or series of CT scans with the use of a radiographic stent in a patient's mouth, and wherein the unique CAD subtract body can be used to create the tool path for the manufacturing of the veneering overlay and allows for the fabrication of a dental implant from at least one of a metallic material, a ceramic material, an acrylic material, a biocompatible material.
