摘要： A pedal cycle apparatus is disclosed in which a foot of a medically incapacitated user thereof engages a pedal for moving the pedal orbitally about a rotational axis of a crank hub. The apparatus includes a crank arm having a proximal and a distal end, the proximal end of the crank arm being rotatable about the rotational axis of the crank hub. A fastener fastens the pedal relative to the crank arm at a selectively variable radial distance from the rotational axis of the crank hub. The arrangement is such that in use of the pedal cycle apparatus, the foot of the medically incapacitated user engages the pedal so that the pedal moves orbitally about the rotational axis of a crank hub. The pedal rotates about an axis of rotation which is disposed parallel to the rotational axis of the crank hub such that selection by the user of an optimum radial distance of the pedal from the rotational axis of the crank hub is permitted.

摘要： An adjustable rehabilitation and exercise device, including a rotary member rotatable about a hub and having an elongated slot defined thereon extending radially relative to the hub, the slot including a plurality of spaced apart and opposed fingers along the length of the slots, with a plurality of gaps defined between the fingers of each side of the slot; and a mount selectively and movably positionable on a selected location on the slot of the rotary member to select an angular location of the mount. The mount includes a sliding member movably positionable along the slot to a selected radial location along the selected slot to select a radial location of the mount relative to the hub of the rotary member. The sliding member is configured to slidingly engage the slot, the slide member having at least one spring loaded lock configured to engage one of the gaps to lock the position of the sliding member, and a key operable by a user to disengage the lock from the gap to enable the sliding member to be moved to another location along the slot. A patient engagement member is connectable to the mount and movable with the mount.

摘要： An exercise and rehabilitation apparatus for exercising the extremity of a user wherein the position of the lever is adjustable. The apparatus includes a flywheel having a first side and a second side with a channel in the flywheel first side. The channel has a top edge near the planer surface of the flywheel first side. A lever, such as a pedal or handle, is combined with an adjustment member. The adjustment member is movable within the channel between a first position and a second position, however, the adjustment member cannot be removed from the channel through the slot/opening along its top edge. A locking pin is combined with the adjustment member and movable between an extended position and a retracted position, the locking pin is biased in its extended position. The flywheel includes a plurality of openings adapted to receive the locking pin when the locking pin is in its extended/locked position to secure the adjustment member at a particular location within the channel.

The exercise device guides the user's foot in a pseudo-elliptical stride path, while providing a dynamically variable stride length that allows the user to move with a natural stride length. The exercise device allows tall and short users to extend or curtail the stride length to match their natural stride lengths. The length of the reciprocating path is dynamically adjusted during the exercise operation without equipment adjustments by changes in the length of the stride input by the user at a pair of foot engagement pads disposed on laterally spaced apart foot support members.
