摘要: Sensor systems and methods for quantitative assessment of sports performance are disclosed. In one embodiment, a boxing data server comprises a memory storing predetermined profiles of arm acceleration or rotation over time for one or more types of punches, a radio for communicating with one or more sensors on one or more boxers, and one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to receive, via the radio from the one or more sensors, one or more streams of sensor values indicating: (1) accelerations of a boxer's arm within a first range of acceleration, measured by a first acceleration sensor, (2) accelerations of a boxer's arm within a second range of acceleration, measured by a second acceleration sensor, and (3) rotation of the boxer's arm measured by a gyroscope sensor. The one or more processors may be configured to determine, based on the received sensor values from the first acceleration sensor, whether a punch landed but not to measure a force or velocity of the punch. The one or more processors may be configured to determine, based on the received sensor values from the second acceleration sensor, at least one of a force or a velocity of the punch but not to detect whether the punch landed. Additionally, the one or more processors may be configured to determine, based on comparison of variations in the rotation of the boxer's arm and on variations in the acceleration of the boxer's arm measured by the second acceleration sensor to known punch gestures, a type of the punch.

摘要: Disclosed herein are techniques and systems for evaluating exercise performance of a user of a fitness system by utilizing one or more intelligent sensors, including at least one camera-based sensor configured to detect image data of the user. The fitness system may include a stationary exercise device, a memory to store personal information about a user, and a processor to generate a set of exercise rules based, at least in part, on the personal information about the user. The fitness system may also include one or more sensors to monitor a physical state of the user, and a fuzzy system to generate an evaluation for the user based, at least in part, on i) the set of rules and ii) output from the one or more sensors. The fitness system may thereby provide real-time, constructive feedback regarding the user's exercise performance based on the sensed data.

The interface circuitry comprises: a power transmission system interface to a power transmission system of the gym apparatus; a sensor interface to one or more sensors comprised in the gym apparatus and/or one or more sensors external to the gym apparatus; and a user interface connector connecting the interface circuitry to a casing of a portable electronic device serving as a user interface of the gym apparatus during a physical exercise performed with the gym apparatus. The interface circuitry includes a processing system arranged to cause the interface circuitry to process and provide connections between the power transmission system interface, sensor interface, and the user interface connector.

摘要: An exercise device employing side-by-side pivotally supported moving surfaces. In one particular example, an exercise device employs a first belt deployed about a front roller and a rear roller and an adjacent second belt deployed about a front roller and a rear roller. The rear of the belts in the area of the rear rollers are pivotally secured and the front of the belts in the area of the front roller are adapted to reciprocate in an up and down motion during use. In some implementations, the moving surfaces include an interconnection structure such that a generally downward movement of one surface is coordinated with a generally upward movement of the other surface. In other implementations, the moving surfaces are operably associated with one or more resistance elements that effect the amount of force required to pivot or actuate the moving surfaces.
