摘要: An electronic device and a method of evaluating a risk assessment of cerebrovascular disease are disclosed. The method includes the following. A first cerebrovascular flow signal and a respiration signal are obtained. The first cerebrovascular flow signal is decomposed to obtain a first decomposed signal. Multiple first sampled signals are sampled from the first decomposed signal according to the respiration signal. A first characteristic signal is generated according to an average of the first sampled signals. It is determined whether to output a warning message according to the first characteristic signal.

摘要: According to certain described aspects, multiple acoustic sensing elements are employed in a variety of beneficial ways to provide improved physiological monitoring, among other advantages. In various embodiments, sensing elements can be advantageously employed in a single sensor package, in multiple sensor packages, and at a variety of other strategic locations in the monitoring environment. According to other aspects, to compensate for skin elasticity and attachment variability, an acoustic sensor support is provided that includes one or more pressure equalization pathways. The pathways can provide an air-flow channel from the cavity defined by the sensing elements and frame to the ambient air pressure.

摘要: A capnography appliance module for positive pressure ventilation (PPV) includes an adapter that couples to a port on an NIV mask for sampling the CO2 of a patient. The module includes an elongate support housing sized and configured to be placed through an access port of a PPV mask. The module also includes a capnometry sampling line positioned within the support housing and having a sampling inlet for sampling oral gases from within a PPV mask. The appliance module allows clinicians to sample CO2 through the NIV mask without disrupting the therapeutic pressure.

摘要: A respiratory assembly is provided. The assembly includes at least one post having a nasal engaging portion on about a first end thereof for delivering treatment gases to the nasal cavity of a patient. A pair of tubes capable of receiving gas from a hose or fluid source are selectively engaged with the pair of posts for delivering treatment gases from the inlet through the receptacle and into the nasal cavity of the patient. A splitter may be positioned between the hose or fluid source and the pair of tubes. Ball and socket joints may provide enhanced flexibility of the assembly while in use.

摘要: A device, system and method for collecting and eluting aerosol particles contained in a breath sample of a human or animal for the purpose of sampling non-volatile respiratory pathogens present in the breath sample. In at least some embodiments, the present invention provides such a device, system and method to collect, preserve, concentrate and release pathogen-specific biomarkers from breath aerosols for the subsequent analysis with immunoassays and molecular assays for the clinical diagnosis of respiratory tract infections in humans. The sampling device comprises an aqueous solution dissolvable polymer membrane installed in a housing of the sampling device in the flow path of the breath aerosol that sorbs the aerosol particles. The sampling device further comprises an engagement means for releasably engaging an elution device to the housing for introducing an aqueous solution into the housing and for dissolving the polymer membrane upon contact with the aqueous solution.
