摘要: An apparatus for producing spherical metallic powders through continuous ball milling. The apparatus includes a comminution component. The comminution component includes an inlet to receive a metallic material at a first region within the comminution component and an outlet to dispense the metallic powder from a second region within the comminution component. The apparatus includes a plurality of grinding components to grind the metallic material, the plurality of grinding components being arranged within the comminution component. The apparatus includes a drive component, connected with the comminution component, to induce movement of the metallic material and the plurality of grinding components within the comminution component such that the metallic material is fragmented through contact with the plurality of grinding components at the first region and an external surface of the fragmented metallic material is altered at the second region to produce the metallic powder.

摘要: Disclosed are a continuous low-temperature plasma powder treatment and ball-milling production device, and a method thereof. The device includes a powder circulating and conveying pipeline system (1), a ball mill (2), a low-temperature plasma discharge pipeline (3), a vacuum discharge system (4) and a controllable atmosphere system (5), where the powder circulating and conveying pipeline system (1) is sequentially connected to the ball mill (2) and the low-temperature plasma discharge pipeline (3) through pipelines; and the controllable atmosphere system (5) is connected to the powder circulating and conveying pipeline system (1). The powder circulating and conveying pipeline system (1) is used for circulating and conveying to-be-treated powder at a controllable air pressure and flow speed. On one hand, a double-dielectric barrier discharge structure is introduced in a powder conveying process to form the low-temperature plasma discharge pipeline (3), thereby realizing a plasma discharge treatment on a transfer material powder; and on the other hand, the ball mill (2) is introduced to perform ball-milling refining or alloying on a powder subjected to plasma discharge treatment, thereby treating the powder through a large-area, uniform and high-energy non-equilibrium plasma in cooperation with mechanical ball milling and being capable of being used for performing a surface circulating modification treatment on a conventional metal, macromolecule or oxide powder.

摘要: A method of preparing an aluminum metaphosphate (ALMP) particulate product includes charging a milling chamber of a ball mill with grinding media and loading an ALMP feedstock into the milling chamber. The ALMP feedstock is milled with the grinding media into ALMP particles at a particle reduction index in a range from 0.25 to 0.5. At a plurality of time steps during a period in which the milling is carried out, a fine fraction of the ALMP particles is removed from the milling chamber while a coarse fraction of the ALMP particles remains in the milling chamber for additional milling. An ALMP particulate product with a particle size distribution having a median particle size in a range from 100 μm to 700 μm is prepared from the ALMP particles removed from the milling chamber.

摘要: A composite milling component comprising a composite region of ceramic material and metal is disclosed. The milling component may comprise a lifting member such as a digger shoe of a vertical tower mill, a flight liner of a vertical tower mill, a shell liner of a horizontal axis mill, and/or an end liner of a horizontal axis mill. The composite region may be formed into a portion of the milling component that experiences greater wear than other portions to increase a wear-resistance of the milling component. The composite region may be formed integrally into the milling component during a casting processes of the milling component.

A plurality of scrapers are disposed so as to abut or come close to the inner face of a bottomed cylindrical container that accommodates powder so that the powder in the container is granulated by causing an inner bottom surface of the container to rotate on a horizontal plane.

摘要: A pilot plant scale SAG mill suitable for use in design of a commercial scale SAG mill. The ball mill has a cylindrical outer chamber having flanges at opposed ends. The cylindrical outer chamber contains a removable grinding chamber in the form of a sleeve. The removable grinding chamber has a diameter of 2-5 feet and a ratio of diameter:length in the range of 3:1 to 1:1. The removable grinding chamber contains a plurality of steel balls. The removable grinding chamber extends partly down the length of the cylindrical chamber and has longitudinal lifters attached to the internal surface of the sleeve. The lifters are capable of lifting steel balls located in the removable grinding chamber during rotation of the cylindrical outer chamber. The removable grinding chamber has means at one end for receiving particulate ore from a feed hopper and a removable diaphragm at the opposed end, the removable diaphragm having outlet ports therein for discharge of ground particulate ore into the cylindrical outer chamber. The cylindrical outer chamber has discharge ports for discharge of ground particulate from the SAG mill, and means to rotate the cylindrical chamber about a longitudinal axis.
