Abstract:
This invention relates to a tire processing apparatus for processing large used tires as are found from industrial mining applications. The present invention relates particularly to a tire processing apparatus comprising a head that is operable to move about two or more axes at a first end of a swing arm, the head further having a rasp operable to strip rubber particles from a stationary tire for use of the particles as a landscaping mulch. In various embodiments, the apparatus also comprises a head with a circular saw operable to cut a portion of the tire into a livestock trough. The invention also includes a method using the above. The system and method in its various embodiments are particularly adept at processing used tires from mining industry applications.
Abstract:
The present invention is Micro-erosion Recovery System for separating recyclable tire materials (rubber, steel and fiber) and complying with quality standards governing the use of recovered tire materials. It is also a highly efficient apparatus and system for producing large amounts of high quality crumb rubber and steel. The system is controlled by selecting a micro erosion water jet nozzle with a specific cross-sectional area of the inlet and continually taking measurements of the inlet pressure until ideal mesh size of crumb rubber is met. Using the inlet pressure and cross-sectional area of the inlet, the remaining variables are able to be calculated by using an equation known in the art.
Abstract:
A cooling arrangement adapted to be used in a process of preparing a fine powder, and a method for using same are described. The cooling arrangement (100) comprises: a solid particles feed ingress means, a solid particles mixing means (140), a plurality of cooling air discharging devices (130) and a solid particles egress means. The cooling arrangement is characterized in that the averaged diameter of the solid particles fed the said solid particles ingress means is essentially less than 6 mm. Preferably, the solid particles are fed to the cooling arrangement and free fall (120) onto the bottom section thereof.
Abstract:
A waste tire separation recycling treatment device includes a machine rack, a pair of crushing rollers, a pair of stripping wheels and a guiding portion. After a waste tire, which is performed with pyrolysis, is placed in the device to obtain a non-metal scrap, a metal scrap and a mixture, and above 98% of the non-metal scrap, the metal scrap and the mixture are sequentially rolled and striped off to transform them into the non-metal scrap and the metal scrap. Afterward, several separation processes are performed to separate the non-metal scrap and the metal scrap, thereby greatly increasing the efficiency of separation recycling treatment.

Abstract:
A rubber grinding machine and method is provided for ambient temperature grinding of rubber material to form finely ground rubber particles. The rubber grinding machine includes a feed tube, a grinding module, a conveyor, a screening module and a vacuum system. Rubber material is placed in the feed tube which advances the rubber material into the grinding module using a plunger or auger. The grinding module includes a grinding wheel which grinds the rubber material into rubber particles. The grinding wheel is surrounded by a shroud which includes a water-cooled cooling jacket. The water is circulated through the cooling jacket to cool the shroud and its interior. Rubber particles ground by the grinding wheel fall through the bottom of the shroud onto a conveyor which deposits the rubber particles onto the screen module. The screen module includes at least one screen for separating the rubber particles by size. Rubber dust produced by the grinding wheel is processed by a vacuum system and may later be screened.
Abstract:
A cutter wheel for tire shearing having a unitary annular core with radially inward shoulders on both sides of the radially outward central portion of the core. Pie-piece shaped cutter segments are mounted atop the shoulders of each core with each cutter segment having a base and a blade atop the base, with cutter segments overlapping in a serrated fashion, beyond the central portion of the core. The central portion of the core is smooth, serving as a spacer between adjacent cutter segments. Each blade is split into two side-by-side blade segments, with the laterally outward blade segment experiencing greatest wear. The laterally inward blade segment mounted to a pie-piece shaped cutter segment by radial bolts, while the laterally outward blade segment is fastened to the laterally inward blade segment by axial bolts.
Abstract:
A method of producing an aqueous solution of water-soluble polyacrylamide (PAM) with a concentration of at least about 5 grams per liter includes the steps of providing a monovalent or divalent cation salt solution, and preferably a calcium salt solution, and adding water-soluble PAM particles to the salt solution such that the PAM particles are essentially all dissolved within about 10 seconds. The PAM particles are characterized by a particle size that is about −100 mesh and consisting essentially of molecules having a molecular weight of at least about 15 million a.u. Preferably, the small PAM particles are produced by a mill that produces bulk quantities of small dry, flowable PAM particles from larger commercial grade particles. Small PAM particles produced in such a mill are essentially all soluble in plain water within about 10 seconds. After solution, the polymer concentrate can be diluted with water to make stock solutions of the polymer for some purposes. For other purposes the concentrate can be injected directly into irrigation systems. Effectiveness of the water-soluble polyacrylamide as a soil conditioner is considerably increased by co-use with a calcium salt, gypsum, fertilizer salts, or a combination of these salts, in addition to the increased ease of making solutions.

A roller-type reducing apparatus comprising reducing rollers mounted within a housing for rotation in opposite directions. The reducing rollers comprise a plurality of reducing discs having different diameters and placed in a side-by-side relationship. There are provided reducing discs with fine serrations and reducing discs with coarse serrations, with comminuting discs with fine serrations having a diameter smaller than that of reducing discs with coarse serrations.
Abstract:
A rubber waste disposal apparatus processing rubber waste such as an old tire efficiently includes a casing, a rubber waste deformation unit provided in the casing to subject rubber waste to deformation, and an ozone-containing gas supply unit supplying ozone-containing gas into the casing. The rubber waste deformation unit includes a pair of cylindrical rollers having a plurality of protrusions projecting outwards, capable of sandwiching rubber waste at the gap therebetween, and a distance setting unit that can set the distance of the gap between the cylindrical rollers.
