    摘要: An oil mist separator includes: a housing which is provided separately from a body of an engine; and an oil separating part which separates oil in blow-by gas generated in the engine. The housing includes: an inlet case which is provided on the upstream side of the oil separating part; an outlet case which is provided on the downstream side of the oil separating part; and a first body case and a second body case which are disposed in series in a flowing direction of the blow-by gas and have the same shape. The oil separating part is composed of a first oil separating part and a second oil separating part which are disposed in series in a flowing direction of the blow-by gas.

    摘要: There is provided a breather device for an engine and capable of suppressing forming of separated oil into mist again. The breather device for the engine includes an oil filter chamber at a midpoint of a blow-by gas passing route and an oil filter housed in the oil filter chamber. The oil filter chamber is partitioned with a partition wall into an upstream filter chamber and a downstream filter chamber arranged in a front-back direction, the filter is formed by an upstream filter and a downstream filter, the upstream filter is housed in the upstream filter chamber and the downstream filter is housed in the downstream filter chamber, respectively, and a side gas expansion chamber is provided beside the oil filter chamber so that blow-by gas flows from the upstream filter into the downstream filter through the side gas expansion chamber.

    摘要: The invention relates to an oil mist separator of an internal combustion engine, comprising at least one gas-permeable diffusion separation body, through which a crankcase ventilation gas of the internal combustion engine can flow and in which oil mist present in the crankcase ventilation gas can be separated from the gas. The novel oil mist separator is characterized in that in the or each diffusion separation body additionally continuous free gas channels are formed, and that, viewed in the flow direction of the crankcase ventilation gas, behind the gas channels at least one further diffusion separation body, or an impingement separation surface is disposed at a distance from the or each diffusion separation body.

    摘要: An oil separator for reducing oil carryover from the vent port of the crankcase of an internal combustion engine, such as a diesel engine is provided. The separator includes a cylindrical housing filled with a filtration material and having both an inlet and an outlet in its upper portion and a downwardly disposed, frustro-conical wall that defines an annular chamber between its outer surface and the inner walls of the housing. The annular chamber defines a helical flow path through the filtration material in the housing for a stream of oil-laden air admitted through the inlet of the housing. Oil droplets are removed from the stream of air as it moves through the helical path both by impingement against the filtration material, and the by centrifugal impingement against the inner walls of the housing. At the end of the helical path, the stream of air is directed along a hairpin turn through an opening in the frustro-conical wall and from thence into a double-back path before exiting the housing, thereby removing still more entrained oil droplets. The resulting filtered stream of air may be directed into the engine draft tube or the air filter by means of a pipe. The separator also includes an oil drain conduit for conducting liquid oil collected by the filtration material into the oil pan of the engine at a level lower than the operating level of the oil within the pan for uninhibited drainage.
