摘要： A nozzle is disclosed which has a cylindrical nozzle main body. A nozzle tip of the nozzle comprises a plurality of members formed by dividing an approximately cylindrical member in the axial direction thereof and is accommodated in the interior of the nozzle main body. A spring is provided between a spring receiving section of the nozzle tip and a wall positioned on a forward side of the nozzle main body. At least one of a peripheral surface of a discharge section of the nozzle tip and an inner surface of a tip engaging opening of the nozzle main body is tapered. A self-cleaning operation is performed when the atomization pressure is reduced, because the spring urges the nozzle tip toward a rearward side of the nozzle main body.

A nozzle suitable for washing filters comprises a tubular casing I having a port 2 in its side wall, a tubular liner 12 located in the casing I so that its upper end forms an annular valve seat part of the way across the port, and a plunger 4 biased by a spring into engagement with the annular seat, the end 3 of the casing being connected to a water supply. A projection (5), fig. 4 (not shown) on the plunger extends within the liner and the discharge outlet, which produces a fanshaped discharge, is defined by surfaces (6), (6A) and (6B) and the adjacent upper edge of the liner. The plunger is located in position by cross pins 11 which may be used to raise the plunger for cleaning &c. Excessive water pressure in operation may also raise the plunger against the pressure of the spring.

摘要： An injection nozzle for blowing air or injecting solvents reduces noise level and facilitates cleaning of injection passages. The injection nozzle includes a nozzle body provided with an opening and an inlet passage communicating with the opening. A plurality of grooves are provided on top and bottom sides of the nozzle body respectively. The nozzle body is also provided with upper and lower cover members, which can be selectively opened or closed. When the cover members are closed, an expansion chamber is defined by the opening and injection passages are defined by the grooves. The fluid to be injected from the inlet passage is expanded once in the expansion chamber and is then distributed through the injection passages for injection. Such expansion and contraction produces an effect of reducing noise level at the time of injection. Furthermore, the insides of the expansion chamber and the injection passages can be cleaned with ease by opening the cover members.

摘要： A shower for use in conditioning of felt or wire fabric in papermaking utilizing a two position nozzle. One position is a spray position and the other position is a purge position with the two positions being determined by the relative location of an interior piston with respect to a surrounding tubular body having a valving member at the upper end thereof. The size of the opening created by shifting the position of the piston relative to the valving member determines whether or not a spray or a purging flow passes from the nozzle. The nozzle communicates with the interior of a spray pipe and a volume control is provided in the form of cooperating openings and ports in the tubular body and piston slidably housed therein positioned so that a greater number of openings and accordingly opening area is provided between the interior of the spray pipe and the valving member in the spray position and a lesser number of openings and area of opening is provided for introduction of liquid from the spray pipe to the valving head in the purge position. This action facilitates the use of a single water supply for the nozzle arrangement and facilitates movement of the nozzle between the purge and spray position with the assistance of a spring housed between the piston and to the body of the housing.
