The binding unit includes a rotary shaft; a wire engaging body configured to move in an axis direction of the rotary shaft and to engage the wire in a first operation area in the axis direction of the rotary shaft, and configured to move in the axis direction of the rotary shaft and to twist the wire with rotating together with the rotary shaft in a second operation area in the axis direction of the rotary shaft; a rotation regulation part configured to regulate rotation of the wire engaging body; and a tension applying part configured to perform, in the second operation area, operations of applying tension and releasing the applied tension on the wire engaged by the wire engaging body in the first operation area.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for continuous operation for the production of conductors that include twisted or stranded wires or filaments includes supply payoff for providing a plurality of strands that have been work hardened. The wires or strands are annealed in line with the payoff and subsequently cooled by a chiller in line with the annealer for cooling the annealed strands output from the annealer to a predetermined temperature. A strander in line with the annealer and cooler or chiller is provided for imparting at least one twist to the annealed and cooled strands. Speed control, for example a dancer, is provided in line between the cooler and the strander for adjusting and controlling the speed or velocity of the strands moving along the line to maintain a speed compatible with the take up speed of the strander. The predetermined temperature is selected to be the ambient operating temperature of the strander for copper or aluminum cable.

    摘要: A rotating arbor has a hollow interior and a forward end provided with a number of fingers which are spaced apart from adjacent fingers by longitudinally extending slits. The hollow interior and the slits are dimensioned such that a conventional concrete pin may be inserted into the arbor and be rotated by it. In one version of the apparatus, three rollers are situated side by side and a space separates each roller from an adjacent roller. A length of wire is positioned such that one of its segments extends through one space and extends to and through the aperture in the head of the concrete pin. A second segment of the wire doubles back from the concrete pin to and through the second space. As the arbor rotates, the segments of the wire twist around each other to attach them to the pin. In another version of the apparatus, the segments the wire are received in grooves formed in two blocks, one stationary and the other pivotal. As the concrete pin rotates, the pivotal block pivots to facilitate twisting of the wire segment in the pivotal block around the other wire segment.

    摘要: The invention provides an assembled conductor, which is formed by rolling a conductor bundle including a central conductor and a peripheral conductor arranged around the central conductor. The central conductor has a shape in which a right-twisted portion of the central conductor and a left-twisted portion of the central conductor are arranged alternately in predetermined intervals. The right-twisted portion of the central conductor extends from one end side of the central conductor to the other end side of the central conductor and is twisted in a clockwise direction, and the left-twisted portion of the central conductor extends from the one end side of the central conductor to the other end side of the central conductor and is twisted in a counterclockwise direction. The peripheral conductor is arranged around the central conductor so that a twist direction of the peripheral conductor becomes opposite to a twist direction of the central conductor.

    摘要: Endodontic instruments having a desired cutting edge are formed, at least in part, using a cold forming process. The method of forming the endodontic instrument includes providing a blank metal thread or wire and at least one die that has a negative impression of a cutting edge. The die is pressed against the blank with sufficient force in order for the die to form an at least partially formed cutting edge in the blank. Any desired shape can be formed into the blank by selecting a die with the proper corresponding negative impression. Cold forming techniques suitable for forming endodontic instruments include roll forming, flat rolling, radial forming, cold drawing, and similar techniques. The files can be sharpened or otherwise modified before or after cold-forming using techniques such as cutting, grinding, and chemical milling.
