The pressure casting machine can include a vacuum chamber and a pressure casting mechanism coupled to the vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber can include a processing section having a top wall and a bottom wall opposite to the top wall, a first gate configured to seal the processing section, and a first vacuum pump coupled to the processing section. The pressure casting mechanism can include a first driver positioned adjacent to the top wall, a first core received in the processing section and coupled to the first driver, a second core received in the processing section, and a plurality of pushing members received in the processing section. The second core can be coupled to the bottom wall and opposite to the first core. The pushing members can be coupled to the top wall.

    摘要: A method for removing a part from a mold and to a machine for molding the part, the part made of a material having a glass-transition temperature and a melting temperature that is higher than the glass-transition temperature, and which is shaped in the cavity of a mold, includes at least two mold portions defining the shaping cavity therebetween. The mold is at a temperature between the glass-transition temperature and the melting temperature. The method includes opening the mold by spacing apart the mold portions, locally spraying a cooling gas toward the part remaining in a portion of the mold using at least one nozzle, and, after a predetermined time period following the start of spraying the gas, ejecting the part from the portion of the mold, the time period being such that the part reaches a temperature that is lower than the glass-transition temperature thereof.

    摘要: A die casting method and apparatus are provided, thereby making it possible to produce a thin diecast product that has hitherto been considered impossible to realize, and a diecast product is also provided. A semi-solidified metallic material is formed having particles in solid phase of a particle size less than 30 μm, and is thereupon injected into a die. A die casting machine has a sleeve into which a melt of metallic material is poured, and the semi-solidifying material there when it has a certain proportion of solid phase reached is injected into the die with a plunger to which pressure is applied. The melt of metallic material is poured into the sleeve so that the material occupies inside the sleeve at a proportion in vertical cross-sectional area of 30% or less. The particle size in this semi-solid material is held unvaried in a product as diecast.

    摘要: A hinge pillar assembly includes a hinge pillar panel that is cast from a die casting process, and that defines an interior surface. An acoustic foam layer is disposed adjacent the interior surface of the hinge pillar panel. An inner retainer panel is attached to the hinge pillar panel. The inner retainer panel secures the acoustic foam layer between the inner retainer panel and the hinge pillar panel. The hinge pillar assembly is cast to define a cored boss that is used to retain the hinge pillar panel within an upper ejector half of a die set during the casting process. A fastener is disposed in the threaded engagement with the cored boss to attach the inner retainer panel to the hinge pillar panel. A vehicle component may be attached to the inner retainer panel.

    摘要: Various embodiments provide apparatus and methods for injection molding. In one embodiment, a constraining plunger may be configured in-line with an injection plunger to transfer a molten material from a melt zone and into a mold. The constraining and injection plungers are configured to constrain the molten material there-between while moving. The constrained molten material can be controlled to have an optimum surface area to volume ratio to provide minimized heat loss during the injection molding process. The system can be configured in a longitudinal direction (e.g., horizontally) for movement between the melt zone and mold along a longitudinal axis. A molded bulk amorphous object can be ejected from the mold.

A molding method includes filling a cavity with the semimolten or semisolid metal in plate thickness directions of the flat plate portion starting from a surface on an opposite side of the flat plate portion from the surface from which the projected portion projects. The cavity is a casting space of the molded article formed inside a forming mold. A molding apparatus for casting the molded article includes a forming mold having the cavity, and a separate insert or slide mold disposed between the cavity and a runner in order to form the runner in plate thickness directions of the flat plate portion starting from the other surface. The runner is used to fill the cavity.
