    摘要: A sprue system for a diecasting die includes at least one runner channel, which extends from an entry-side sprue mouth opening to an exit-side sprue opening, which opens into a die cavity of the diecasting die that is formed between a fixed die half and a movable die half or into a gate region arranged upstream thereof. The runner channel has a geometrically and/or thermally defined parting region upstream of the sprue opening and downstream of the sprue mouth opening. The runner channel has a bend or kink in the parting region and/or a heating device is assigned to a runner channel portion between the parting region and the exit-side sprue opening and/or a heating device is assigned to a runner channel portion adjoining the parting region upstream and narrowing conically toward the parting region and/or a region of the movable die half opposite the sprue opening has a cooling channel structure.

The actuators are generally disposed at the ends of the yoke plate and are configured to move the yoke plate in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the valve pins. A deflection distributor apparatus is coupled to the yoke plate. The deflection distributor apparatus is connected to a first force distributor plate, to which the valve pins are connected. The deflection distributor apparatus includes a second force distributor plate and a third force distributor plate. Rods are disposed between the yoke plate and the third force distributor plate, between the third force distributor plate and the second force distributor plate, and between the second force distributor plate and the first force distributor plate holding the valve pins.

    摘要: The invention relates to an injection molding apparatus including a mold block, a nozzle, a gating system and a slug heater. The mold block defines a mold cavity having a mold cavity inlet. The nozzle has a nozzle inlet. The nozzle inlet is fluidically connectable downstream from a melt source. The nozzle inlet is upstream from the mold cavity inlet. A melt flow passage extends from the nozzle inlet to the mold cavity inlet. The gating system includes a valve pin and an actuator. The valve pin is movable between an open position wherein melt flow is permitted into the mold cavity, and a closed position wherein the valve pin blocks the melt flow passage to prevent melt flow into the mold cavity. The actuator is operatively connected to the valve pin to move the valve pin between the open and closed positions. At least one of the mold block and the valve pin includes a cooling system for selectively solidifying melt to form a slug immediately upstream from the valve pin when the valve pin is in the closed position. In use the slug blocks the melt flow passage to substantially prevent melt leakage past the slug when the valve pin is positioned away from the slug.

    摘要: A metal or alloy is melted in a vaccuum chamber disposed about an end of a shot sleeve. The opposite end of the shot sleeve is communicated to a die cavity between first and second dies which are disposed in ambient air atmosphere. The dies have one or more vacuum seals therebetween extending about the die cavity to isolate the die cavity from the ambient air atmosphere when the dies are closed. A vacuum thereby is provided in the die cavity through the shot sleeve when the vacuum chamber is evacuated despite the dies being disposed in ambient air atmosphere. The first and second dies are opened after the metal or alloy is die cast in the die cavity for ready removal of the cast component from the die cavity directly to the ambient air atmosphere and then to an optional quenchant medium proximate the dies.

    摘要: An injection molding system for a metal alloy includes a feeder in which the metal alloy is melted and a barrel in which the liquid metal alloy is converted into a thixotropic state. An accumulation chamber draws in the metal alloy in the thixotropic state through a valve disposed in an opening between the barrel and the accumulation chamber. The valve selectively opens and closes the opening in response to a pressure differential between the accumulation chamber and the barrel. After the metal alloy in the thixotropic state is drawn in, it is injected through an exit port provided on the accumulation chamber. The exit port has a variable heating device disposed around it. This heating device cycles the temperature near the exit port between an upper limit and a lower limit. The temperature is cycled to an upper limit when the metal alloy in the thixotropic state is injected and to a lower limit when the metal alloy in the thixotropic state is drawn into the accumulation chamber from the barrel.
