摘要: A method of producing a liquid crystal panel includes a grinding process and a sealing process. The grinding process includes grinding at least one common liquid crystal panel including a liquid crystal layer, a pair of boards that sandwich the liquid crystal layer, and a frame-shaped sealing member sandwiched between the boards along the non-rectangular outline to remove a section of the sealing member and to leave a rest of the sealing member. The grinding process further includers forming a sealing member removed processed edge section of the common liquid crystal pane. The sealing member removed processed edge section includes edges of the boards corresponding to the section of the sealing member removed from the common liquid crystal panel. The sealing process includes applying a sealing resin to the sealing member removed processed edge section to fill a space between the edges of the board.

Also, a method for grinding a work piece having nominal curvature defined by a work piece curvature centerline is disclosed, comprising the steps of: a) determining a desired surface profile for the work piece; b) providing a rotating grinding surface having a grinding rotation centerline; c) offsetting the grinding rotation centerline from the work piece curvature centerline; and d) applying the rotating grinding surface to the work piece while rotating the rotating grinding surface about the grinding rotation centerline to create the desired surface profile.

摘要: A method of machining a turbine shroud segment including inserting an annular flange of a grinding wheel through a first gap defined between the shroud retention elements and into a second gap defined between the shroud platform and an axially extending, radially inwardly facing arcuate inner surface of one of the retention elements. The wheel flange is inserted with its supporting leg and the wheel body remaining out of contact with the shroud segment and with the wheel flange remaining out of contact with the platform. The inner surface is ground through contact with an annular outer grinding surface of the wheel flange. The wheel leg and body remain out of contact with the shroud segment and the wheel flange remains out of contact with the platform during grinding.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for surface treatment of a wind turbine rotor blade (1) comprising a leading edge and a trailing edge separating substantially opposing first and second surfaces of said rotor blade. The method comprises the steps of providing a wind turbine rotor blade, supporting said rotor blade at least at a root end and at a distal position along a longitudinal axis of the rotor blade and providing moveably arranged first and second surface treatment devices (24, 25) adapted to provide surface treatment of the first and second surfaces of the rotor blade, respectively, wherein the first and second surface treatment devices are moved in opposite directions and towards the leading and trailing edges, respectively, during surface treatment of the first and second surfaces of the rotor blade.

摘要: A grinding device includes a fixed barrel, a moving barrel, a grinding plate, and an actuator. The fixed barrel defines a chamber and includes a number of inner surfaces substantially parallel to a central axis, each of which defines a holding groove therein for holding a workpiece. The moving barrel is received in the chamber and includes a side surface substantially parallel to the central axis and defines an installation groove. The grinding plate is fixedly installed in the installation groove. The actuator is configured for driving the moving barrel to spin and move back and forth along the central axis, and driving the moving barrel to move towards a workpiece so that a surface of the workpiece is grinded into a desired arc surface by the grinding plate, and driving the moving barrel to move towards another workpiece after the desired arc surface of the workpiece is obtained.

摘要: Disclosed are an orbital smoothing device for smoothing a surface of a substrate and a method of smoothing a surface of a substrate using the orbital smoothing device. The orbital smoothing device includes a rotatable plate that is driveable by a motor in at least one of a clockwise or a counterclockwise direction and a plurality of smoothing pad assemblies coupled to said plate. Each of the plurality of smoothing pad assemblies is capable of independent rotation in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions and includes a shaft for coupling each of said smoothing pad assemblies to the rotatable plate, means for providing independent rotation in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions mounted on the shaft and securable in a pad holder and a pad holder for receiving and securing the means for independent rotation. The pad holder has removably mounted thereon a smoothing pad capable of smoothing the surface of the substrate when the rotatable plate is driven by the motor.

摘要: A complex geographical edge finishing system includes a fixture that holds an external part having a complex three-dimensional edge, a track disposed around the fixture and surrounding the edge of the part held in the fixture, and one or more finishing apparatuses that can sand, polish, buff, paint and/or apply coatings to the complex three-dimensional edge. The finishing apparatuses move about the track such that the three-dimensional edge of the part can be polished. The path of the track can substantially match, mimic or otherwise correspond to the path of the three-dimensional edge, such that special requirements for the finishing apparatuses are not required.
