Abstract:
A device and method are provided to allow the removal of unset or generally plastic concrete from the surfaces of mixing and transportation devices by the application of vibrational energy with a liquid to mix and achieve solubilization of the generally plastic concrete into a solution.
Abstract:
A casing string is cemented in a borehole of a well. The cement is prepared by introducing water and dry cement material into a mixing vessel. The water and dry cement material are mixed in the mixing vessel to form a cement slurry. The mixing is accomplished by agitating the slurry to cause the slurry to circulate within the vessel, and while agitating the slurry, transmitting vibrational energy into the slurry and thereby aiding in the wetting of the dry cement material in the slurry. This also aids in removing entrained air from the slurry. The slurry is then pumped into an annulus between the casing string and the borehole.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a concrete mixer truck having a rotatably driven mixer drum, particularly a drum provided with interior mixing elements, and a hydraulic system as a drive source for the mixing process. It is intended to enhance the effect of the mixing process by transmitting vibration energy to the mixture materials. To this effect, a vibration generator is included in the hydraulic system in such a manner that pressure pulses generated in the flow of the hydraulic fluid are superimposed on the mixing movement in the form of vibrations. This superposition effect may be achieved with respect to the rotation of the drum and/or with respect to the movements of a separate mixing tool.
Abstract:
A concrete slip former having a hopper mounted on ground-supporting wheel assemblies with a front steerable wheel and a pair of tandem individually mounted rear wheel assemblies connected to the hopper through vertical jack adjusting means to control the height and level. The hopper has an open bottom from which an open bottom mold extends rearwardly to shape the concrete mixture as the machine moves forwardly. A paddle assembly is mounted in the hopper for rotation about an axis transverse to the direction of travel of the machine. The paddle assembly is vibrated by mechanical, pneumatic and/or electrical means during rotation of the paddle assembly.
Abstract:
An extruder includes a receptacle for containing material to be extruded. The extruder further includes a dispersion blade positioned within the receptacle and a nozzle secured to the receptacle. The nozzle defines a first opening positioned within an interior of the receptacle, defines a second opening positioned outside of the receptacle and defines a channel which extends from the first opening through the nozzle to the second opening defining a flow path which extends from the first opening, through the channel and to the second opening. The nozzle extends through a wall of the receptacle and into the interior of the receptacle such that the first opening is positioned spaced apart from the wall.
Abstract:
An ultrasonic generation device and a concrete forming system are provided. The ultrasonic generation device includes a housing, a rotary vibration member, and a shaft body. The housing is provided with an air inlet. The rotary vibration member is disposed in the housing. The shaft body is relatively fixed to the housing, the rotary vibration member is sleeved on the shaft body, and the rotary vibration member and the shaft body are rotatable relative to each other. The shaft body is provided with a main air passage and a jet hole, a first end of the main air passage is in communication with the air inlet and a second end of the main air passage is in communication with the jet hole, the jet hole is provided in the shaft body at a position corresponding to the rotary vibration member.
Abstract:
A method according to the invention involves continuously moving a mix within a closed vessel having loading and discharge pipes at the ends thereof. The mix is subjected to oscillations during movement by means of a source of oscillations. A gate is provided in the vessel upstream the discharge pipe for contolling the cross-sectional area of the flow path of the vessel and for defining a sealed zone in the vessel with the mix being processed. During movement, the mix is heated to 100.degree. C. and above by passing electric current therein by means of an electrode installed in the vessel. Vapor is thus formed which penetrates the whole body of the mix so as to carry out uniform and rapid heating of all components of the mix.
